K is for Kenyon and Knaak

This blog is part of the series that I am writing for the  A to Z Blogging Challenge. The goal is to write a blog that matches up to each letter of the alphabet and to post it on the correct day. That last part is the most difficult for me because I have days when my chronic illnesses make me exhausted. That’s why this blog is being posted a little bit late.

I have decided to make all of my blogs for this challenge about Diablo III (and the “universe” it exists in). This gives me the opportunity to finally start writing about my favorite game. K is for Kenyon and Knaak, two authors who created a lot of the lore of Diablo.

J is for Jacob

This blog is part of the series I am writing for the A to Z Blogging Challenge. The goal is to write a blog that fits with a particular letter of the alphabet (and to keep up with the blogging as the month of April goes on). The topic can be anything at all, so long as it fits with the letter of the day.

I have decided to use this challenge as an opportunity to write about Diablo III (and its “universe”). For this blog, I have selected a character in the Diablo “universe” that some people may not have heard of. J is for Jacob.

I is for Imperius

This blog is part of the series I am writing for the A to Z Blogging Challenge.  Those who are doing it must write a blog that matches a particular letter of the alphabet, from A to Z.  The goal is to keep up with the blogging and post each blog on the right day.  The topic can be anything a writer chooses, so long as it somehow fits with the letter for the day.  Those who are posting their blogs on Twitter are using #AtoZ.

I am using this challenge as an opportunity to write about Diablo III (and the “universe” it exists in).  As far as I can tell, I am the only blogger who is writing about a video game.  I is for Imperius.

H is for Haedrig

This blog is part of the series I am writing for the A to Z Blogging Challenge. The goal is to write a blog that matches up with each letter of the alphabet, and to do them all in the month of April. Ideally, a person is supposed to post each lettered blog on a specific day. So far, I haven’t fallen behind. Those who post their blogs on Twitter are using #AtoZ.

I have decided to use this challenge as an opportunity to begin writing about the Diablo III game (and the “universe” it exists in). H is for Haedrig Eamon.

G is for Goblin

This blog is part of the series I am writing for the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Those participating must write a blog that matches the letter of the day. I have decided to use this challenge as an opportunity to write about Diablo III (and the “universe” that it exists in). People who are participating in the challenge are using #AtoZ when posting their blogs on Twitter.

G is for Goblin. There isn’t very much lore behind these creatures. Their main purpose is to give players something to chase after in the hopes that it will drop some awesome loot. They are a unique type of creature that doesn’t cause any damage to players (well, not directly…).

F is for Followers

This blog is part of the series I am writing for the A to Z Blogging Challenge.  The idea is to write a blog that somehow fits with the letter of the day.  It can be about anything that the writer feels is fitting.  I have decided to use this challenge as an opportunity to write about Diablo III (and the “universe” it exists in).  Those that are participating on Twitter are using #AtoZ when posting their blogs.

F is for Follower.   No, I’m not talking about Twitter followers, or how to get more of them.  For this blog, I am going to focus on the three Followers that players unlock as they make progress through Diablo III.  In order to avoid any potential “spoilers” that may, or may not, be a part of Act V, I will restrict this topic to my first impressions of each Follower.  I’m also going to remark about whether my initial feelings about each follower changed (and if so, why).  All of the artwork in this blog came from Battle.net.

E is for El’druin

This blog is part of the series I am writing for the A to Z Blogging Challenge.  Most of the days in April have been assigned a letter of the alphabet.  The goal is to write a blog that connects in some way to the letter of the day.  I have decided to use the opportunity that this challenge brings to finally get started writing about Diablo III (and the “universe” is exists in).  Those that are participating in the A to Z Blogging Challenge are using #AtoZ on Twitter.

E is for El’druin.  One cannot really say much about El’druin without also talking about Tyrael.  El’druin is the name of Tyrael’s sword.  It has also been called The Sword of Justice, or El’druin, the Sword of Justice.  Tyrael and El’druin are connected to each other as though they are part of one being.  In many ways, that is exactly what they are.   It all makes sense when you remember that Tyrael started out as an angel.

D is for Demon

This blog is part of my contribution to the A to Z Blogging Challenge.  Every day has been assigned a letter of the alphabet.  (Except for Sundays. We get Sundays “off” for some reason).  You can pick any topic to write about that you want, so long as it fits into the daily letter.  I have decided to use this challenge as an excuse to get started writing about Diablo III (and the “universe” it exists in).

D is for Demon.   There are two sides to the Eternal Conflict in the Diablo “universe”.  On the one side, you have the angels, who originate from The Crystal Arch in the High Heavens.  The angels are really into order.  This drive may, or may not, connect to things that can be seen as “good”.  On the other side, we have the demons, who are all about chaos.

Diablo III, Reaper of Souls beta 0 comments on RoS Beta – Level 21: A Stranger in Need

RoS Beta – Level 21: A Stranger in Need

This blog is part of my series about my experience in the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls beta.  Obviously, the beta is over and the RoS expansion has been released now.  I’m not quite ready to start blogging about the expansion.  For me, it is too soon, and I don’t want to accidentally blog any “spoilers”.  This gives me time to go ahead and finish up blogging about my thoughts as I was playing the RoS beta.

I was playing a female Crusader named Joan.  In the previous blog, Joan the Crusader hit Level 20.  She was somewhere inside what I think of as “Leoric’s torture chamber” – my least favorite part of the game.  This blog is about her adventure from Level 20 to Level 21.  Most of the screenshots you see here were taken on January 10, 2014.  Some of the later ones were taken on January 11, 2014.  The clock flipped over from one day to the next while I was playing.

C is for Consent

This blog is part of my contribution to the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Those who are participating can write about any topic they want to – so long as it fits with the letter of the day. I have decided to use this Challenge as a good reason to get started writing about Diablo III (and the “universe” it exists in).

C is for Consent.  Sanctuary is a dangerous place.  As I’ve played through Diablo III, it dawned on me that not everyone in Sanctuary has given their consent about what ended up happening to them.  Only a select few have the option to decide whether or not they want to give consent to be involved in a particular situation.  For the most part, though, the people who live on Sanctuary are powerless to prevent some really terrible things from happening to their bodies.  To me, this adds even more horror to an already tragic situation.
