Spring Pollen Season – Day Twenty-Eight

Once again, I worked through the night and went to sleep when the sun came up and my eyes started itching.

Today’s 9.3 isn’t noticeably better than yesterday’s 9.4.

I slept for twelve hours straight and would have slept more if my husband hadn’t woken me up for dinner.

Spring Pollen Season – Day Twenty-Six

Yesterday, I went outside to get groceries.  My Epi-Pen was going to expire in April, and I was able to get the much less expensive CVS version instead.

My husband and I played Pokémon GO in the short distance between the grocery store, the CVS, and a restaurant we picked up food from.

This was enough to knock me out for the day.

Spring Pollen Season – Day Twenty-Five

I’ve been waking up dehydrated for days in a row.  It could be due to the allergy medications I’m taking (more often than when it is not Spring Pollen Season).  Or, it might be due to frequent sneezing/coughing stuff out of my throat and lungs/extra histamine my body is producing from the pollen.

I didn’t get enough sleep.

My eyes are itching, again, and that’s starting to be my “new normal.”

Things from Mad Men that are Different from Today – Season Three

My husband and I watched the entire Mad Men series together, one season after the next.  In nearly every episode, I noticed some things that were very different from today.  This list covers the things there were different in Season Three.

You might want to start with the list I made for Season One of Mad Men and the list I made for Season Two of Mad Men before reading the Season Three list.

Warning: There are spoilers.

Spring Pollen Season – Day Twenty-Four

I was up really late  – and into the morning – once again trying to work while the pollen count was the lowest.  Things didn’t go so well.

It was extremely windy the whole time.  Wind kicks up dust, dirt, and pollen, and spreads it all over the air.  Makes me cough, even when I’m indoors.

My eyes are itching and I’m about to take medication for that.  Yesterday, I started getting the unfortunate digestive symptoms that happen when I’ve been overloaded with pollen for too long.

Jason Chaffetz Thinks Poor People Shouldn’t Have iPhones

Representative Jason Chaffetz (Republican – Utah) made the following comment when he was trying to defend the horrible health care plan that the GOP released.  They want to replace “Obamacare” with their plan, which will, in short, cause a whole lot of harm to poor people – especially poor people who have chronic or serious illnesses.

Here is what Representative Jason Chaffetz said:

“Well, we’re getting rid of the individual mandate.  We’re getting rid of those things that people said they don’t want.  Americans have choices, and they’ve got to make a choice.  So rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and want to go spend hundreds of dollars on that, maybe they should invest in their own health care.”

Spring Pollen Season – Day Twenty-Three

Today’s pollen count is 8.7 – and I am miserable.

I woke up because a neighbor was yelling.  It is extremely hard to wake me up, especially when I’ve been really sick for a long time.

Typically, being woken up by the sound of a man screaming would set off my PTSD, but I’m too physically depleted for that to happen.  My body doesn’t have the energy to produce the chemical reactions PTSD requires.

Spring Pollen Season – Day Twenty-One

Today, the pollen count is 7.7.  Yesterday was 7.3.

Things are getting worse and there is no end in sight.

My husband wants to know what he can do to help me feel better.  If there was something, I’d be more than happy to tell him what it is and let him do that for me.
