The big cage our birds had been using was great when we had six of them. But now, we only have three. Pepper is 28 years old, and he was having trouble climbing up the large cage.
Today, we cleaned up the cage that Pinky arrived in and moved the birds into it. In general, cockatiels do not like changes.
We got lucky. Shortly after putting each bird into this smaller cage, they all calmed down and started making curious noises. This was done during the day, but long after they tend to want to go to sleep.
I think they look adorable all sitting together in a row on a shared perch.
