Kitchen Scramble App: Chowderville

Chowderville is the sixth town in the Kitchen Scramble game. The recipes a player must learn include several seafood recipes. The goal is to serve the food to the customers before they get really angry and leave. Kitchen Scramble is a time-management game. Most of the recipes require two or more ingredients.

Players have to figure out which customer to serve first. Previously, this calculation involved figuring out what appliances were currently not in use, and guessing about which customers were the most likely to get angry the fastest.

In Chowderville, players are introduced to an extremely short-tempered character who makes the game more difficult.

Kitchen Scramble App: Molassessippi

Molassessippi is the fifth town in the Kitchen Scramble game. It is a time-management game where players need to make recipes and serve food to customers. Ideally, you are able to get the food to them before they get too grumpy and go away.

I have a ton of food allergies, and it amuses me to play around with virtual food. In Molassessippi, players learn how to make recipes like Barbecue Chicken and Sweet Potato pie.

Kitchen Scramble App: Chef Academy

Chef Academy is the name of the fourth town in the Kitchen Scramble game. The game requires the player to make recipes and serve food to customers. It is a time-management game.

I’ve been posting quite a few blogs about Kitchen Scramble lately. There is a reason. I’ve noticed that the Kitchen Scramble app has been crashing a lot, and that there has been an increased emphasis on the ways players can spend real-world money on the game. I’m not sure how long it will be around.

Kitchen Scramble App: Mozzaroma

Kitchen Scramble is a time-management game where you play a character that runs a food truck. Every level requires players to make and serve specific foods to customers. In Mozzaroma, the customers want Italian foods.

Mozzaroma is the third town in the Kitchen Scramble game. I like to try and get three stars on every level.

Kitchen Scramble App: Waffleton

Kitchen Scramble is a time-management game that started out on a website, then got sold to a different gaming company, and reemerged as an app.  I have a tendency to play this game a lot for a while, and then drop it and move on to something else.

There is something about video games with digital food that I find fun. Maybe it’s because I’ve got a ton of food allergies, and in-game food is safe to play around with.

The second town in the game is called Waffleton.  It requires players to make breakfast foods for customers, including plenty of waffles.

Kitchen Scramble App: Pittsburger (Part 2)

Kitchen Scramble is a time-management app game where you make food and serve it to customers. It was originally created by Playdom, and has since been purchased by RockYou (who made it into an app).

Pittsburger is the first town in Kitchen Scramble. It starts with a tutorial that teaches you how to play the game. By the time you get to the second half of Pittsburger, the tutorial is mostly finished.

Kitchen Scramble: Dessert Oasis

Dessert Oasis is the seventh town in the (soon to disappear) Kitchen Scramble game. Originally, my goal was to get all three stars in every level in every town. I also wanted to complete all the location goals.

Those plans cannot be completed because Playdom has decided to end Kitchen Scramble on April 20, 2014. I still have a few days to play, but have decided I am done. The game used to be fun but has become an exercise in frustration.

Kitchen Scramble: Shutting Down

Tonight, when I went to play Kitchen Scramble, I was presented with a new pop-up. As of April 20, 2014, Kitchen Scramble will no longer be available for play on Playdom.com. The game is officially shutting down. That’s disappointing! It was a fun little game to play for a few minutes in between working on writing.

Kitchen Scramble: Chowderville

Chowderville is the sixth town in the Kitchen Scramble game.  When your food truck gets here, it starts serving seafood.  The menu now consists of clam chowder, lobster bisque, fried clams, fried shrimp, and some crab dishes.  Overall, the foods are fun to make and fairly simple.

I expected to enjoy Chowderville, but it turned out to be an exercise in frustration.  The reason that I hated this town, so much, is entirely due to the introduction of an ill-tempered, incredibly impatient, character called “The Chowder Monster”.  I’ve seen many players complain about him! Chowderville isn’t fun.
