Here is an amusing short story that I posted on Mastodon before bringing it to Book of Jen (slightly edited).
Sick today. Woke up because one of my birds was screaming more than usual.
Checked on them.
Bird put part of a tortilla chip in the water dish – and now wanted clean water.
I took out the water dish, dumped it, and filled it with clean water.
Bird is now singing a happy song.
Little birds, little problems.
