November of 2007 was full of dust and dirt. Construction work was happening nearby, and it seemed to be endless. It affected my allergies – very negatively – and made me sick. Naturally, I complained about it online (in the form of haiku).

causing gigantic dust storm

right outside

Sinuses on fire

Thanks to construction workers

Making dust mountain

The noise continues

From the loud machine used by

Construction workers

Now have a headache

To go with the wheezing. Thanks,

Construction workers!

Seems to be no end

To construction work that is

In front of my house

November 12, 2007

If I were healthy

I’d go out and scream at them

They’re lucky I can’t

November 12, 2007

Focus energy

Wishing that machine would break

So the noise will stop

November 12, 2007

Little do they know

I made a video of

Construction workers

November 12, 2007

Shouldn’t be this loud

From inside my house with doors

And all windows shut

November 12, 2007

They just fixed this road

About the same time last year

Now, they’re back again

Construction workers

Should have to supply me with

Antihistamines!
