Season 17 was coming to an end, and I wasn’t done with it yet! My next goal was to complete the Champion part of the Season Journey. I wasn’t able to complete this goal – or the Season Journey. It was really fun while it lasted, and I made a lot of progress with non-seasonal Achievements.
I started working on the Champion objectives before finishing Slayer. The reason was I was having trouble with the Barbarian Set Dungeons, and had to collect the set pieces for three of them before I managed to complete one. Many attempts were made, but I struggled to Master it.
In addition, I worked on getting more Paragon points, running bounties in the hopes of completing a Conquest, and earning Career (non-seasonal) Achievements.
I had already completed:
- Conversion Incursion: Convert a set item with Kanai’s Cube
I started chipping away at the Champion objective, while picking up some Seasonal Achievements and Career (or non-season) Achivements. It felt like progress, despite the majority of it being non-season stuff.

London Calling: Complete 1 Primary Objective and kill the initial amount of enemies in the Immortal Kings Call Set Dungeon.
Players who earned this Achievement received a Banner Sigil reward.
Call On Me, Call On Me: Master the Immortal Kings Call Set Dungeon by completing all objectives within the time limit.
Mastermind: Master any Set Dungeon.
I was now halfway through Champion. My plan was to do some more Greater Rifts, continue to level up some Legendary Gems, and aim for completing a Greater Rift 45.
Athena the Hardcore Barbarian died in a Greater Rift 43.
Fortunately, for Season 17, I planned ahead and leveled up a back-up Hardcore Demon Hunter, just in case my Hardcore Barbarian died an untimely death.
With my Demon Hunter, I was able to make some progress on Nephalem Rifts, and earn some more Paragon Points.
Dusk the Hardcore Demon Hunter died in a Torment IX Nephalem Rift.
This happened just a few days before the end of Season 17, and I didn’t feel like I had enough time or energy to level up another character (even with help). My Season 17 had come to an end.
