My adventure through Chapter IV of the Season Journey in Season 13 was the most exciting one of the four chapters. Hela the Necromancer was strong, and she found a weapon that I had never seen in-game before.
The “Just Look at You” objective in Chapter IV requires a player to “learn five jewel crafting recipes”. I made a TwitchClip that shows an easy way to finish this objective.
In was on Torment II difficultly when I decided to work on the Chapter IV objective that requires players to complete a Nephalem Rift on Torment I (or higher). It seemed like a good idea to just stay in Torment II and give it a try rather than bring the difficulty level back down to Torment I.
One of the Chapter IV objectives requires players to complete a Greater Rift 20. The game suggested that I start at Greater Rift 15, so I did. It worked out pretty well, but there is room for improvement.
In this video, I completed a Greater Rift 16 and Greater Rift 17. Then, I ran out of Greater Rift keys, so I ran a Nephalem Rift.
In this video, I completed a Greater Rift 18, and I finally found a weapon that I’ve been searching for since Diablo III:Reaper of Souls launched.
Hela is holding the Shard of Hate. I first learned about this item at the launch party for the Reaper of Souls expansion. Since that night, I’ve been hoping I would find this weapon.
I made a TwitchClip of the moment I realized I had finally found the Shard of Hate.
Shard of Hate has the following special ability: Elemental skills have a chance to trigger a powerful attack the deals 230% weapon damage: Cold skills trigger Freezing Skull, Poison Skills trigger Poison Nova, Lightning skills trigger Charged Bolt [200-250]%.
The flavor text says: “Would that all the misbegotten spawn of my wayward daughter had but one heart I might plunge this through, so that they might enjoy the gift of my pitiless ire.” – Mephisto to Hephasto, Chief Weaponsmith of the Burning Hells, upon the delivery of this blade.
In the video above, I make a few more attempts at Greater Rift 19.
I changed a setting on my recording/streaming software and needed to find out if what I’d done worked the way I hoped it would. So, I ran a Nephalem Rift to test the software.
Persistence pays off! I finally was able to complete a Greater Rift 19.
In the above video, I was lucky enough to get a cow Nephalem Rift. It amuses me! After that, I completed a Greater Rift 20. Players who complete a Greater Rift 20 during Season 13 earn the Great Expectations objective.
In the video above, I killed all the Keywardens and Ghom. Doing so meant that I completed Chapter IV of the Season Journey in Season 13 in Diablo III!
Note: I misidentified the portrait frame I selected at the end of the video. I picked the one from Season 12. Later, in the next video, I corrected that mistake.
