Spacey

Today is Day 37 of the Fall pollen season.  My mouth is still sore from the dental work I had a few days ago.  I’m not really able to chew food yet, and that makes getting enough calories incredibly difficult.

This is the third day in a row where I’ve tried to eat and ended up with less than 1,000 calories anyway.  As in, not even close to 1,000.  The result is I am super spacey and having difficulty focusing on anything.

Back to the Dentist

Today was Day 35 of the 2017 Fall pollen season.  I have been sick from pollen allergies for five week straight.

There’s really nothing else to say about that.  If you’re a healthy person, you’ve probably never lived through five weeks of being sick like this.  If you’re sick like me, it’s something that you have learned to cope with.

Spring Pollen Season – Day Seventy

Today, the pollen count is 7.5.  It’s not great.  Ideally, I need the pollen count to be 6 or less for about two weeks – and then I can recover.

I woke up anemic today, which is annoying, but not painful.  It adds to my exhaustion, and I already have low energy (due to fighting allergens for 70 days and also due to fibromyalgia). Anemia makes me very spacey and unfocused in a way that is completely different from what Benadryl does to me or what “fibro fog” feels like.

30 Day Chronic Illness Challenge, Out of Spoons 0 comments on Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes

Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes

The 30 Day Chronic Illness Blog was created by @cfs_zombie.  Each day, there is a brand new writing prompt that deals with chronic illness and/or living with a chronic illness.  I learned about this Challenge when someone reblogged it onto my Tumblr dashboard.  I have reached the end of the series!

Day 30:  And finally… starting at your toes and working up to your head, name each part of your body and how your illness has affected it, followed by something you like about that part of your body.

That’s too many words for a blog title, so I’m calling this one “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” (like the kid’s song).

What Would you Say to Those Newly Diagnosed?

The 30 Day Chronic Illness Challenge was created by @cfs_zombie.  Every day, there is a brand new writing prompt that focuses on chronic illness and/or what it is like to life with one (or with many).

I first learned about this Challenge when someone reblogged information about it onto my Tumblr dashboard.  Today is Day 15, which means that when I post this blog I will have officially completed 1/2 of the 30 Day Chronic Illness Challenge!

Day 15: What would you say to people newly diagnosed with this illness?

Why Do you Believe you have this Illness?

The 30 Day Chronic Illness Challenge was created by @cfs_zombie. I learned about it when someone reblogged it onto my Tumblr dashboard. Each day, there is a new writing prompt that focuses on chronic illness and being chronically ill. I decided to take on this challenge because it sounded interesting.

Day 11: Why do you believe you have this illness? Bad luck, a higher power, or something else?

How Did You Get a Diagnosis?

This blog is part of the 30 Day Chronic Illness Challenge. I found out about it through Tumblr. It was something created by @cfs_zombie. Every day, for 30 days, there is a new writing prompt that focuses on a person’s chronic illnesses. The challenge part (at least for me) is to see if I can find enough energy to complete one blog, on a specific topic, every day for a month.

Day 3: How did you get a diagnosis?

30 Day Chronic Illness Challenge – Introduction

The 30 Day Chronic Illness Challenge is something that I found on Tumblr.  It appears to have been created by @cfs_zombie, who has compiled 30 writing prompts.  Each one focuses on something specific to chronic illness.  The challenge is to complete each of the 30 blog posts in 30 days.

Day 1: Introduce yourself.  What illnesses do you have?  How long have you had them?
