RoS Beta – Level 24: The Crusader Likes the Enchantress

This blog is part of my series about my experiences in the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls beta. The beta has been over for quite a while. I still have things that I want to share about it, so I am going to. At least some (if not all) of my blogs about the RoS beta can be used as a little “tutorial” for players who are brand new to the game. I’ve only got a few more RoS beta blogs to go, and then I can move on to blogs about the expansion.

In the previous blog, my Crusader, Joan, had just hit Level 23. This blog continues with her adventure from Level 23 to Level 24. Many of the screenshots that you see in this blog were taken on January 11, 2014. The rest were taken on January 24, 2014.

S is for Souls

This blog is one that was supposed to be completed as part of the A to Z Blogging Challenge in April. My intent was to use the challenge as a way to get started writing about Diablo III (and its “universe”). Unfortunately, I ended up working a lot in April, and did not finish the Challenge in the allotted period of time. Despite that, I intend to go ahead and write the blogs I had planned for it. The remaining blogs in the alphabet will be written on my own time frame.

S is for Souls. The Diablo III: Reaper of Souls expansion involves a “big bad”, Malthael, who is stealing the souls of the humans (or nephalem) that live on Sanctuary. It made me wonder…. where do souls in the Diablo III “universe” go when they leave the body?

RoS Beta – Level 22: The Butcher Drops a Legendary

This blog is part of my series about my experience in the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls beta. The beta has been over and done with for quite some time. I’m not quite ready to start blogging about the expansion, and I have plenty of screenshots from the beta that haven’t yet made it into a blog. I still have things that I want to say about my impressions of the game in its beta form.

When I left off, my female Crusader, Joan, had just hit Level 21. This blog gives the details of her adventures from Level 21 to Level 22. I’m certain that I didn’t make it to Level 30 before the beta abruptly ended, so there will only be a few more blogs in this series. This blog is one I was intending to post during the April A to Z Blogging Challenge. I failed to keep up with the challenge, and post one blog, for each letter of the alphabet, on the correct day in April. I’ve decided to go ahead and write the blogs that I didn’t have time for last month anyway. The only difference is that they will happen on my own time, and not as part of a challenge.

R is for Rakanishu’s Blade. It is a unique weapon that can be found in Diablo III. The lore behind it is also interesting.

This blog is one that I intended to write for the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Unfortunately, I failed to complete all the blogs in the given time-frame. Instead, I spent a lot of time in April completing writing work that was for pay. The challenge itself is over, but I still wanted to write about the topics I selected for it. The difference is I will be doing it on my own timescale.

All of the blogs I write for this challenge are about Diablo III (and the “universe” that surrounds it). So far, I’m pretty happy with the blogs I have written. It is nice to finally get all the Diablo related stuff that has been into my head out of it and into a blog post (or several blog posts).

A to Z Blogging Challenge. The idea is to post one blog that fits with each letter of the alphabet. I have officially fallen behind, but not that far yet. There are no letters assigned to Sundays, so I have the chance to catch up. Those who are posting their work on Twitter are using #AtoZ.

I have decided to make all of my blogs for this Challenge about the Diablo video game series (and the “universe” it exists in). The people who put together the Challenge have recommend that participants create very short blogs. I think this is to prevent burnout.

N is for Nephalem

This blog is part of the series I am writing for the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Those who participate in this challenge are going to write one blog that matches up to each letter of the alphabet. The topic can be anything at all, so long as it somehow fits with the letter of the day.

The more difficult part of the challenge is to keep up with the blogging as the month rolls on. If you fall a little bit behind, you could catch up on a Sunday. (No letters are assigned to Sundays). Those that are participating are using the #AtoZ when they post their work onto Twitter.

I have decided to make all my blogs about Diablo III (and its “universe”). I’m enjoying what I am writing, but have now come to the conclusion that this set of topics is a bit too much for the project. I haven’t quit yet, though.

N is for Nephalem. I’ve mentioned the nephalem in many of the previous blogs in this series. This blog will explain how they ended up on Sanctuary. Please note, this blog may contain “spoilers” if you haven’t read The Sin War Trilogy by Richard A. Knaak, or if you have not finished Act V of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls.
