Thoughts About The Diablo IV Open Beta

I was lucky enough to get into the Diablo IV Open Beta. My initial experience with the Open Beta was frustrating because my Xbox | S thought I was trying to get into the Closed Beta (which had already ended). This was eventually worked out.

Thoughts About The Diablo IV Closed Beta

The above image was one of many on the Diablo IV official website, where you can buy the game. I’m not certain that I saw this specific image while in the Closed Beta. I spent hours playing it on my Xbox|S.

I decided to start adding my thoughts and (non spoiler) comments about it on my Mastodon account.

Diablo III: Rifting To 69

A Monk is wearing a lot of red armor, She has a red gem on her head. She holds two fist weapons, one in each hand. There are butterfly wings on her back. Next to her is a monstrosity of a pug dog that snorts.

In this video, my Monk started at Level 65, and was playing on Hard difficulty. She killed Urzael and Queen Araneae. Some of the Season Journey objectives were too high for her, so she some Nephalem Rift in the hopes of catching up.

Kitty And the Midnight Hour – by Carrie Vaughn

Kitty Norville is an overnight, Midnight Shift DJ for a Denver radio station. One night, she got tired of the lame song requests, and accidentally ended up starting “The Midnight Hour” talk radio show. This proved to be a big hit! Unfortunately for her, some people in her life aren’t thrilled about the show.

Diablo III: Mostly Rifts

A Diablo III Monk is wearing white and yellow armor. She has butterfly wings on her back. Next to her is an oversized pug dog that snorts.

In this video, I started with a Challenge Rift that featured someone else’s Barbarian. It took me two tries to complete it and was fun to do. After that, I did stuff that would help my Monk reach level 50.

Diablo III: Overpowered

In this video, my Monk started out at Level 38. The first thing she did was seek out Kanai’s Cube. She fought Cydaea, and Queen Araneae. She also completed a set of Bounties and completed a Nephalem Rift. The main purpose in this video was to level up my Monk as much as I could.

Heroine Complex – by Sarah Kuhn

Heroine Complex starts with Aveda Jupiter, a super heroine, battling against demonic cupcakes inside a bakery. Her sidekick, Evelyn Tanaka, is somewhere behind the bakery counter, using her phone to record Aveda’s battle for her fans.

Diablo III: Bounties and The Altar

In this video, my Monk started out at Level 32. She completed a set of Bounties that I’d forgotten to do in the previous video. She also started using the Altar – the new fancy thing to play with in Season 28.

Diablo III: Season 28 – Getting Started

A Monk is wearing mostly leather armor. She carries a sword in an upraised hand and a club in her other hand. There is a golden crown on her head. She is wearing butterfly wings on her back. Next to her is a monstrous version of a pug dog.

In this video, I used the “Rebirth to Seasonal” so my Monk could work on the brand new Season 28 of Diablo III. She ran through a Nephalem rift. She also completed some sets of Bounties. This Season added an altar that players can use to give benefits to their character.

Elevation – by Stephen King

The title of the book is "Elevation". The word is floating in the night sky with a colorful burst of color behind it. Tiny letters under that say "a novel" In larger print, towards the bottom of the book, it says "Stephen King"

Scott Carey has a problem. He has discovered that he is losing weight – but not in a way anyone could have predicted. Scott chooses to confide in his friend (and former doctor) Dr. Bob Ellis. Scott Carey asks to be weighed on Dr. Ellis’s scale. Dr. Ellis is retired, but kept his highly accurate scale. The results are alarming!
