During Season 17, I unexpectedly found myself in a Nephalem Rift level that looked a lot like Whimsydale. That is, if Whimsydale was reimagined after it went Goth. I like this darker version of it!Continue Reading “Season 17 (Season of Nightmares) Whimsydale Rift”
Season 17 was coming to an end, and I wasn’t done with it yet! My next goal was to complete the Champion part of the Season Journey. I wasn’t able to complete this goal – or the Season Journey. It was really fun while it lasted, and I made a lot of progress with non-seasonal Achievements.Continue Reading “Season 17 (Season of Nightmares) – Champion”
The Season Journey requires players to complete a Set Dungeon, and to Master a Set Dungeon. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the same one, and each class has four to choose from.
I’m playing a Barbarian in Season 17, and was getting really frustrated with the Set Dungeons. The best piece of advice I can give you is to keep trying.Continue Reading “Season 17 (Season of Nightmares) How to Master a Set Dungeon”
I am playing a Hardcore Barbarian in Season 17. For the most part, I am having fun. The one thing holding me back from making progress was the Season Journey requirement to complete a Set Dungeon.
This proved to be a very difficult task for me. In this blog post, I share the strategy I used when I realized I was unable to complete the Set Dungeon that corresponded with Season 17’s “freebie set”.Continue Reading “Season 17 (Season of Nightmares) Set Dungeon”
Slayer was a bit difficult for me, especially since I was playing a Hardcore Barbarian. I had to be really careful about the choices I made, or she would be dead and I’d have to level up a new character.
I had only completed two Slayer objectives by the time I started working on it. The Set Dungeon was frustratingly difficult. So, I skipped it and started working on objectives from upcoming parts of the Season Journey.
UPDATE: I was eventually, after many attempts, able to complete the Raekor’s Set Dungeon. This was the last thing I needed to do to finish the Slayer part of the Season Journey.Continue Reading “Season 17 (Season of Nightmares) – Slayer”
I decided to play a Hardcore Barbarian in Season 17, and felt like my progress was moving very slowly. Things sped up dramatically after I acquired more Ancient items.
The special thing about Season 17 is the Community buff:
While you have no Set bonuses equipped every Ancient item you have equipped increases your damage dealt by 750% and reduces your damage taken by half.Continue Reading “Season 17 (Season of Nightmares) – Chapter IV Completed”
I’ve been working my way through the Season Journey in Season 17 – The Season of Nightmares. One cool thing about this Season is that players could scroll through the entire Season Journey and see every objective.
By the time I completed Chapter I and Chapter II, I had finished a big part of Chapter III. Having a clear idea of the progress I made, and what I still needed to do, really made a difference in my outlook.Continue Reading “Season 17 (The Season of Nightmares) – Done With Chapter III”
This season, I decided to play a Hardcore Barbarian. In general, I find that leveling up while playing solo can be tedious. It can get pretty intense in Hardcore if you aren’t careful.
I completed my first goal – to hit Level 50. My next goal was to get my Barbarian to Level 70.Continue Reading “Season 17 (The Season of Nightmares) – to Level 70”
Season 17 of Diablo III is called “The Season of the Nightmares” because Seasonal players will benefit from the Set bonus provided by the Legacy of Nightmares. Blizzard describes it as the “no Set” set. Any Ancient Legendary that players find will be much more valuable this Season.
I decided to start Season 17 as a Hardcore Barbarian. This blog is about my progress so far. My main goal for this season is: Don’t die!Continue Reading “Season 17 (The Season of Nightmares)”
