Rise of the Necromancer Beta – New Monsters

This is my third, and final, blog in my series about the Necromancer beta. The Necromancer is a super fun class to play, and I had a good time trying it out. I never made it to Level 70, so I didn’t get to try out the Necromancer sets. Even so, right from the start, it felt like I got a satisfying amount of Skeletons and Golems to command.

What you see in the screenshots in this blog might, or might not, change before the Necromancer Pack is launched. That’s the nature of a beta. I find it exciting to see how things iterate before they go “live”.

Rise of the Necromancer Beta – Skeletons and Golems

The Rise of the Necromancer beta is over. This blog is part of a series I am putting together about my thoughts about, and experience in, the beta. After getting started in the Necromancer beta, I proceeded to try out some of the low level skills. It didn’t take long before Catrina the Necromancer could control skeletons and golems.

Rise of the Necromancer Beta – Getting Started

I was fortunate enough to get into the Necromancer Beta (which is now over). I focused my time on Adventure Mode, so I could save the fun of discovering the in-game Necromancer lore for later. By the time the beta ended, my Necromancer was at Level 52. This means I did not get the opportunity to try out the new armor sets.  Even so, I found the Necromancer to be really fun to play.

Season Journey Chapter III (Season 9)

In Season 9, Chapter III of the Season Journey held some surprises. In past Seasons it was possible for players to earn an objective by completing five Bounties, in all five Acts, during one game.

I always complete the Bounties in all five Acts at the beginning of each Season. To me, it was something fun to do while leveling up a new character. It also was something a low level character could do that would earn one of the many Season Journey objectives.

Season Journey Chapter II (Season 9)

Chapter II of the Season Journey for Season 9 didn’t take me as long as I expected. But, I was still way behind where I thought I’d be. As I mentioned in the blog I put together about Chapter I, my game time was split between Season 9 and the new Darkening of Tristram event.

This is not a complaint.  It’s nice to have so much to do in Diablo III – and to be very interested in doing all of it!

Season Journey Chapter III (Season 8)

chapter-3-season-8-completedThe Season 8 version of Chapter III of the Season Journey was fairly easy for me to complete.  My Barbarian was prepared for Master Difficulty, which was the minimum difficulty setting that a player could complete Chapter III objectives on.

I earned three of the Chapter III objectives before I unlocked Chapter III.

Diablo Game Play, Diablo III 0 comments on Leveling the Mystic

Leveling the Mystic

Myriam Jahzia, the Mystic, is a crafter that players could unlock in the Reaper of Souls expansion.  The purpose of the Mystic is to enable players to transmogrify their items.

The other, perhaps more useful, purpose of the Mystic is to let players change an affix on their weapon, armor, or jewelry (and hopefully end up with a better affix than they started with.)

When I play a Season, I almost always do it in Adventure mode.  I try to level the Mystic as quickly as I can.  Doing so causes me to miss out on the beautiful artwork that Blizzard created for every level of the Mystic.  There are a lot of details to see!
