Pokémon GO: Chikorita

The first time I saw one of these adorable plant Pokémon was on a day when the pollen count was 9.7 and I’d been outside and walking through parks for longer than I should have.

I’ve decided it is a sign that this year’s Spring Pollen Season is almost over.

This little guy doesn’t produce flowers – so he probably can’t make pollen.

Pokémon GO: Magikarp Hat

Niantic added new things for your player character to wear.  Some cost money, and some are free.

The Magikarp hat is free.  It is for me.  I can relate.

Magikarp can’t do much but flop around.  I’m just as limited during Spring Pollen Season.

Pokémon GO: Valentine’s Day Event

Pokémon GO held a Valentine’s Day event that began on February 8, 2017, and ended on February 15, 2017. It gave players double the amount of Candy that they earned every time they caught, hatched, or transferred Pokémon. In addition, Buddy Pokémon would find Candy twice as fast.

Pink Pokémon were plentiful during this Valentine’s Day event. They were more frequently encountered in the wild than usual, and more likely to hatch from eggs. I didn’t manage to hatch any eggs during the event, but I was able to catch some pink Pokémon.

Candy Crush Saga: Holiday Hut

Episode 19 of Candy Crush Saga is called Holiday Hut.  This Episode is, without a doubt, the Candy Crush Saga Christmas Episode.   Holiday Hut features a Gingerbread Woman who has a problem that she hopes that Tiffi, the little girl character that seems to be the heroine of Candy Crush Saga, can solve for her.

I just so happened to start Episode 19 in December, so that worked out nicely. Unfortunately, the levels in Holiday Hut were extremely difficult for me.  Every level has Candy Bombs in it that players must get rid of before their timers go off.

Neko Atsume: Xerxes IX

Xerxes IX is one of the “Rare Cats” in Neko Atsume.  The only way to get a “Rare Cat” to visit your Neko Atsume yard/home is to place an item that a specific “Rare Cat” likes.  In general, you will have to wait a bit between when you place the item and when the cat you wanted to attract appears.

Xerxes IX only likes two items.  One is the Royal Bed.  It is a rather glitzy bed that looks quite a bit like a throne.  Several other Neko Atsume cats will use the Royal Bed, too.  Xerxes IX also likes the Zanzibar Cushion.  A few other Neko Atsume cats like it, too.

Flight Rising: Blazing Goblin

Flight Rising is a fun game where players get to control a Lair full of dragons.  Each dragon can have its very own Familiar (which is sort of like a pet for your dragons).  You can collect treasure by clicking on the Familiars every day.

There are special holiday festivals every month where players can obtain special Familiars.  The 2016 Flameforger’s Festival took place at the end of August of 2016.  It honors the Fire Flight. The Blazing Goblin was the special Familiar for that festival.

All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.
