Flight Rising: Sunbeam Ursa

The Sunbeam Ursa Familiar was part of the 2014 Brightshine Jubilee in Flight Rising.  It is an annual event that happens at the end of June.  The Familiar for this year’s Brightshine Jubilee looks quite different from the Familiars that players could obtain during the previous Elemental Holidays.

They used to look like Sprites.  The Sunbeam Ursa Familiar is a change.  I wonder if the rest of the exclusive holiday Familiars will look like bears? All of the artwork in this post is a copyright of Flight Rising.

Riglee Does Dungeons – Deadmines

How many dungeons can a Gnome Death Knight do all by herself?  The “Riglee Does Dungeons” series of blogs is my attempt to find out.  This time, Riglee ran through Deadmines.  She was Level 67 when she started (and that hasn’t changed yet).

She is wearing the Gnomeregon Tabard as she goes through as many dungeons as possible.  It will help increase her reputation with Gnomeregon.  This blog shows Riglee’s trip through Deadmines.  All of the screenshots that you see in this blog were taken on June 13, 2014.

Heroes of the Storm: Technical Alpha – Finished the Tutorial?

I’ve decided to go ahead and make a series of blogs about my thoughts and impressions of the Heroes of the Storm (HOTS) Technical Alpha.  For me, this is the best way to make sure I have the opportunity to really think about things.

It’s also a good way to share what I learn about the game with others.  This blog will focus on what I think is the second (and possibly last) portion of the tutorial.  All of the screenshots you see here were taken on June 27, 2014.

RoS Beta – Level 28: More Stash Space!

This blog is part of the series I have been writing about my experiences in the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls beta.  The beta ended months ago, but I’m not done blogging about it.  These blogs are my way of sharing my thoughts and experiences about the Diablo III Reaper of Souls beta.  It was an honor to be included in the beta, and something that I want to remember.

I was playing a female Crusader (whom I named Joan).  In the previous blog, Joan the Crusader hit Level 27.  This blog will showcase her adventure as she went from Level 27 to Level 28.  The screenshots that you see here were taken on February 24, 2014.

Heroes of the Storm: Technical Alpha – First Impressions

To my surprise, I have gotten into the Heroes of the Storm Technical Alpha.  I’ve heard great things about the game, but have never played it before.  (I was at Blizzcon 2013, but was all caught up in everything Diablo III while I was there).

I knew that Heroes of the Storm (HOTS) was a battleground type game that included playable characters from all of Blizzard Entertainment’s games (World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo III) but, that’s pretty much all I knew. This blog is my attempt to share my first impressions of the game.

RoS Beta – Level 27: Shrine of Rakanishu Event

This blog is part of the series about my experiences in the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Beta.  The beta has been over and done with for months now, and I will be done blogging about it soon.  These blogs are my way of sharing my thoughts about the game as I played through the RoS beta.  Looking back, I wish I did this type of blogging for the original Diablo III beta (but that just wasn’t possible for me at the time).

In my previous blog, my Crusader, Joan, hit level 26.  This blog will feature her adventure as she went from Level 26 to Level 27.  The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on February 24, 2014.

Flight Rising: 1st Anniversary Tasty Cakes

Flight Rising is a game where you manage a Lair that is filled with dragons.  It is also a game with an amusing sense of humor, and a penchant for celebrations.  The 1st Anniversary of the Flight Rising game happened on June 8, 2014.

They gave the players some delightful tasty cakes that they could feed to their dragons.  That was nice of them! All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Flight Rising: Scaleback

Flight Rising is a game in which you control a Lair filled with Dragons.  One of the many things you can do with them is give them Familiars.  They are kind of like pets for your dragons.  From a gameplay perspective, Familiars are great because they give you Treasure (and the occasional chest full of loot).

The Scaleback Familiar is one that I found in a chest that I got by leveling up another Familiar.  All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

RoS Beta – Level 26: Changes to Griswold’s Scribblings

This blog is part of the series about my experiences in the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls beta.  The beta has been over for a long time now, but I’m not done blogging about it.  These blogs are my way of sharing my thoughts about the game as I was playing through the beta.  I’ve no idea if I will get into the next Diablo III beta (or if there will even be one) so I may as well blog this one well.

In my previous blog, my Crusader, Joan, hit Level 25.  This blog will feature her adventure as she went from Level 25 to Level 26.  Some of the screenshots that you see in this blog were taken on January 24, 2014.  The rest were taken on February 24, 2014.  (I must have been waiting for a new monitor to game on!)

Flight Rising: Citrine Cave Jewel

Flight Rising includes a wide variety of Familiars. They are sort of like pets for your dragons.  Click on all of your Familiars every day to get Treasure. You also get a chest when each Familiar levels up.  The Citrine Cave Jewel is a Familiar that I got because it was hiding in a random chest. All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.
