Hearthstone: Curse of Naxxramus – Arachnid Quarter – Druid Class Challenge

The Curse of Naxxramus is a solo adventure that you can play in Hearthstone.  At the time I am writing this blog, the Arachnid Quarter is available for players to open up.  More new content will unlock in the weeks to come. First, you must defeat the 3 bosses in “Normal” difficulty.  That is how you unlock the Class Challenges for this section of the Curse of Naxxramus content.

There are two Class Challenges: one for the Druid deck, and one for the Rogue deck.  I decided to start with the Druid Class Challenge.  It took two tries for me to get through it.  The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on July 27, 2014.

Warlords of Draenor Beta – Pre-Made Level 90

This blog is part of my series about my thoughts and experiences in the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor beta. I haven’t had a whole lot of time to get in there and do stuff yet, for two reasons.

One, the beta did not want to download at first.  Two, the new patch caused my (nearly full) computer to have issues.  I’m getting a pop up window that tells me my start up disk is almost full.  I can’t finish downloading the new patch until I make more room on my computer.  One way to fix that problem is to use up some of the screenshots I took while in the beta by making a blog out of them.

Diablo A to Z, Diablo III, Diablo Lore 1 comment on U is for Urzael

U is for Urzael

This blog was supposed to be for the A to Z Blogging Challenge that took place in April.  The rules require participants to write one blog for each letter of the alphabet, and to post them on the correct day.  My intentions were good, but my choice of subject matter turned out to be overwhelming.

I used the challenge as a “jumping off point” so I would finally push myself to start writing about Diablo III (and its “universe”).  I’m still interested in writing about the topics I selected.  The difference is that I can do it on my one time frame now.

U is for Urzael.  Players had not heard of him until they got far enough along in the Reaper of Souls expansion to be “introduced” to him.  Who is this new angel, what is his history, and why do we care?

Hearthstone: Curse of Naxxramas – Arachnid Quarter

Hearthstone has a brand new adventure for players to enjoy!  It’s called Curse of Naxxramas. The adventure is slowly being opened up, week by week.  At the time I am making this blog, players can check out the first week of the adventure – Arachnid Quarter.  You fight against new bosses who have decks with cards that have never been in Heartstone before.  Unlock the three bosses of the week, and you gain access to more parts of the adventure.

Warlords of Draenor Beta – We Got a Toy Box!

This blog is part of my series about my experiences in the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor (WoD) beta.  I’m in the process of trying to make enough room on my computer so that the new patch will download.  One way to do that, I suppose, is to use up some of the screenshots that I took the last time I was able to play.  I tend to take more screenshots of what I find in a beta than I will end up using.

Previously, I rolled a pre-made Level 90 female Draenei.  The new models looked great, but they didn’t actually make it from the character generation screen to the actual WoD beta.  It led to an amusing “bug”!  In this blog, I want to focus on something new that I found.

Hearthstone: Unlocking the Hunter and Warrior Decks

I had just enough time to play one match in Hearthstone. I have a habit of playing video games really late at night/crazy early in the morning. My concern was I would start playing and fall asleep at the computer.

What I decided to do was go into Practice Mode and see if I could unlock another deck.  That way, if I fell asleep, I wouldn’t be making another player frustrated as he or she waited for me to take my turn.  Here is how I unlocked the Hunter Deck and the Warrior Deck.

Warlords of Draenor Beta – My Draenei has no Hair!

This blog is part of my series with my thoughts about, and experiences in, the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor beta. So far, things have been interesting! I decided to roll a pre-made Level 90 character so I could see some of the new stuff without having to actually take the time to level a character all the way up.  When I started playing this beta, I rolled a brand new Level 1 female Orc Warrior.

Next, I thought it would be a good idea to roll an Alliance character, so I could see both sides of things.  The WoW character I’ve spent the most time playing is my female Draenei Shaman – so that’s what I rolled.  I did not expect to end up with a bald female Draenei, but that is what happened!  The screenshots that you see in this blog were taken on July 20, 2014.

Flight Rising: Theme Week – Put a Bird on it!

Flight Rising has created some interesting Theme Weeks for players to participate in.  I haven’t done all of them, but I try and contribute when I can.   The most recent one I’ve added to was called “Put a Bird on it!”

The instructions for this Theme Week said: “Show us your feathery, bird wearing, or wanna-be feathered/bird-like dragons!”  You could post a maximum of three.  I decided to go ahead and post them here, too.   All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Flight Rising: Emerald Webwing

One of the cool things about Flight Rising is that it includes Familiars.  They are sort of like little pets that you can assign to any of the dragons in your Lair.  Click on each Familiar, once a day, to earn Treasure (and the occasional chest full of loot).  I’ve already earned both of the Achievements that are associated with obtaining a certain number of Familiars.

So, now I’m making blogs about each new Familiar that I get.  All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Warlords of Draenor Beta – Orc Starting Zone

This blog is the first in what I intend to become a series about my experiences in, and thoughts about, the World of Warcraft Warlords of Draenor Beta. I did not expect to get in, so it was especially exciting to receive the email that let me know that I had been selected to play the beta.

It turned out that there was a battle to be fought before I could access the beta. First, I needed to move a lot of stuff off of my computer and onto my external hard drive in order to make space for the beta. That took the better part of a day to achieve.  The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on July 13, 2014.
