Diablo A to Z, Diablo III 1 comment on T is for Templar

T is for Templar

This blog was supposed to be completed in April as part of the A to Z Blogging Challenge.  The rules for the challenge require you to write one blog, every day, during the month of April.  It can be about anything you want, so long as you find a way to make each topic fit the letter of the day.  I wanted to use the experience as a way to push myself to get started writing about Diablo III (and its “universe”).

Unfortunately, that proved to be a bigger task than I expected.  I had a lot to say about the Diablo III topics I selected, and I needed some time to research each blog (to make sure I was spelling things correctly and had the lore right).  As such, I did not complete the A to Z Challenge.  I still wanted to write about the topics I picked, though.  The only difference is that they can now be completed whenever I have time.

T is for Templar.  The Templar is one of the Followers that players get in Diablo III.  Kormac the Templar goes through a lot of character development from the first time the player encounters him through Act V.  In this blog, I wanted to share some of my thoughts about the Templar. (There are some “spoilers” here for those who have not completed Act V in Diablo III: Reaper of Souls.)

Flight Rising: Legacy Challenge – Fourth Generation

The Flight Rising Legacy Challenge is a 10 generation breeding challenge. The goal is to start with an ungened starter dragon and end up with an attractive triple gened dragon.

There are specific rules and limitations that you must follow while you are doing this challenge. For example, the mate of your Founder dragon must be from the same Dragon Flight. The Heir dragon (who becomes the next Founder) is always the first dragon hatched from a clutch of eggs. It makes the challenge more interesting. In this blog, I will focus on my fourth generation of dragons. All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

World of Warcraft Achievements 0 comments on Deadmines

Deadmines

Recently, I decided to run my Death Knight Gnome, Riglee, through Deadmines. It had changed a lot since I first went through that dungeon in 2010. I decided to see if I had, by chance, taken any screenshots of what the old Deadmines was like.

I have a tendency to take a ton of screenshots while I’m playing a video game. This leads to folders full of screenshots that I mean to put into a blog. I guess I am a “digital hoarder”, because I have kept lots of them, just in case I need them someday.

As such, I was able to find some screenshots that show a little bit of what Deadmines looked like in 2010.  Most of the screenshots you see in this blog were taken on August 20, 2010.  A few were taken on August 30, 2010.

Flight Rising: In Tune With the Runes

There are many different Achievements that can be earned in the Flight Rising game. Personally, I think that Achievements make video games more fun. Some of the ones in Flight Rising are earned by chance.  (For example, a dragon hatches from an egg that just so happened to have a certain “special” gene). Others can be earned from effort on the part of a player.  The In Tune With Runes Achievement is a bit of both.

Flight Rising: Cursed Bat

Flight Rising is a game in which you get to control a Lair filled with Dragons. One of the things you can do with your dragons is to give them a “pet” called a Familiar. From a gameplay standpoint, Familiars are great because you can gain Treasure (and sometimes a chest full of loot) by clicking on them daily.

I’ve been posting short little blogs about Familiars that are new to me as I find them. All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Diablo III, Reaper of Souls beta 0 comments on The End of the Reaper of Souls Beta

The End of the Reaper of Souls Beta

This is the final blog in my series about the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls beta. I am happy that I was able to experience it. My only regret is that it took me so long to finish blogging about it. I’m trying to get quicker at blogging video game stuff.

In the previous blog, Joan the Crusader had hit Level 28. She never made it to Level 29. The RoS beta closed really abruptly. The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on February 24, 2014.
