Admit it – Do you Read Quest Text or Not?

This blog is part of the series I started writing because I wanted to participate in the 10 Years: 10 Questions project. I was unable to complete all ten questions by the deadline. When I started, I realized that there was a good chance that I would be unable to finish everything in time. I got seven done! The remaining questions are being answered for my own amusement.

Question 8: Admit it – Do you read quest text or not?

Diablo III, Diablo Seasons 0 comments on Gurr’s Adventure through Act 2 (Season 1)

Gurr’s Adventure through Act 2 (Season 1)

This blog is part of my series about the progress I made in Season 1.  My Seasonal character is Gurr, the Barbarian.  I wasn’t sure how much time I would have to play or how far I would get through the game with Gurr. These blogs are my way of creating my own, personal, leaderboard for Season 1.  At the beginning of Season 1, and at the time I am putting together this blog, there is no way to know when Season 1 will end.

In this blog, you will find out what Legendary items Gurr obtained in Act II.  I should point out I was playing on Normal difficulty for my first run through the story content.  I figured that if there was time later I could always go through it again at higher difficulty level. The screenshots you see in this blog are from August 31, 2014 and from September 2 and 3, 2014.

Diablo III, Diablo Seasons 0 comments on Act 1 with “Cheese” (Season 1)

Act 1 with “Cheese” (Season 1)

This blog is part of the series I am doing about my progress through Season 1 in Diablo III.  I have no idea if I will do another Season, so it seemed like a good idea to go ahead and make lots of blogs about this one.   There are Leaderboards in the game, but I doubt I’ll be on any of them. These blogs are my own, personal, Leaderboard.  If I end up doing another Season, I will use these blogs to help me figure out if I do better, or worse, in Season 2 than I did in Season 1.

The previous two blogs were about the progress that my Barbarian, Gurr, made through Act 1.  I started out with Shawn and his Monk, Qiz.  (Qi is pronounced “Chee”.  The Z on the end means that Shawn’s Monk is named “Cheese”.)

I ended up playing more than Shawn did, so things got a little out of order.  The easiest way to explain it is that Gurr had moved on to Act II (or maybe beyond) and then went back to Act I to kill demons with Qiz.

Out of Spoons, Spoonie Writing 1 comment on Disability Denied

Disability Denied

Those of you who know me are aware that I have chronic illnesses.  These include allergies that are so severe that I need to carry an Eli-Pen, an inhaler, and take a bunch of medication every day. I’ve also got borderline anemia, and signs indicate that I have the rheumatoid arthritis that runs in my family.  (I still need to be tested for that.)

As such, I have applied for Social Security Disability benefits.  To be honest, I didn’t want to.  A few close friends, who know how truly ill I am, talked me into it.

To apply, you have to fill out a bunch of paperwork, have your doctors fill out more paperwork, and then got get examined by a doctor that the Social Security Disability powers-that-be select. I’ve done all those things.

Flight Rising: Legacy Challenge – Sixth Generation

The Flight Rising Legacy Challenge is a 10 generation breeding challenge. You begin with an ungened starter dragon. Next, you purchase a mate for that dragon and start the challenge. The goal is to end up with an attractive triple gened dragon.

When I started this challenge, I had absolutely no idea how long it would take! It’s been kind of tedious to go through the same steps, and follow the same rules, for each new generation. The biggest problem is that some breeds of dragons take longer than others to be ready for the Breeding Ground.

I have not learned how to time this well. I’m not giving up on it because I am more than halfway done with the challenge. All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

How Long have you Played? Has that been Continuous?

This blog is part of the series I am writing because I want to participate in the 10 Years: 10 Questions project. The project involves 10 questions that are being asked of all World of Warcraft (WoW) players. It requires people to reflect on their experiences with the game during the 10 years that it has existed.

For me, the previous six questions in the project were fairly easy to answer.  I read the question and instantly had a general idea of what my answer would be.  Of course, sometimes the final blog ended up veering out into other directions as I wrote it.  This question, however, is one that I don’t really have a lot to say about.

Diablo III, Diablo Seasons 0 comments on Act 1 – Achievements (Season 1)

Act 1 – Achievements (Season 1)

I’ve decided to do a series of blogs about my progress through the very first Season in Diablo III.  This one is about all the Achievements that Gurr the Barbarian got in his adventure through Act 1 of Story Mode (on Normal Difficulty).  There is a Leaderboard that has to do with Achievements.  I doubt I will get on it, so I’m making my own personal version of it here.

If you want to check out the other aspects of what I accomplished in Season 1, you can take a look at my previous blog in this series. It shows Gurr’s Adventure through Act I. The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on either August 29, 2014, or August 30, 2014.
