Maiev Shadowsong is an alternate portrait for the Rogue class. I got her in 2017, when she was first made available. At the time, all the player had to do was win 10 games in Standard Play Mode in order to unlock the Maiev Shadowsong portrait.

As you may have heard, there was a controversy involving Hearthstone (made by Blizzard Entertainment, which is part of Activision/Blizzard), and a Hearthstone player who publicly stated a viewpoint that has been described as political. This led to many fans of Blizzard’s games to call for a boycott of the company. (You may have seen #BoycottBlizzard trending on Twitter).
I am not among those who are boycotting Blizzard. Yes, I realize that there will be people who choose to become angry with me because I am not doing what they have decided to do. I’m sharing my reasons anyway, in part because I doubt I’m the only person in the world who chooses not to join in this boycott.

This year, the Hearthstone Midsummer Fire Festival had new theme. It included some of the characters from the League of E.V.I.L. Thus, this year’s event was called the Fire Fest-E.V.I.L. The event ran from July 10 through July 31, 2019.
The 2018 Midsummer Fire Festival focused on a Tavern Brawl featuring Ragnaros. To me, it felt like this year’s version had a whole lot more to offer.

Lunara is an alternate hero for the Druid class in Hearthstone. Players can earn this hero by completing a quest that appears where the Hearthstone Daily Quests are.
The Hearthstone Wiki says that Lunara is the first alternate hero for the Druid class.
It’s been a while since I played a Tavern Brawl in Hearthstone. I find it fun to figure out how to solve the “puzzle” that each, unique, Tavern Brawl presents. There must be some way to win!
Players who win one match in the Ragnaros’ Fire Festival Tavern Brawl earn one free Classic Card Pack. This Tavern Brawl is also being referred to as The Midsummer Fire Festival Tavern Brawl. It will end on June 30, 2018.

Every month, Hearthstone players have an opportunity to earn a new card back for their collection. My best guess is that the majority of players are much more interested in racing to the top of the ladder than whatever the current card back is.
Not me. The only reason I participate in Ranked Play is to earn the card back. In this blog, I share what I learned about how to earn the card back every month without getting frustrated and no matter what cards you have or your skill level.
Hearthstone had a Year of the Raven Celebration shortly before the Year of the Mammoth ended. The upcoming new expansion is called The Witchwood.
For a limited time (March 26, 2018 – April 9 – 2018) players received a free Card Pack every time they completed a Daily Quest in Hearthstone. This motivated me to work on Daily Quests.

The best thing about Hearthstone, in my opinion, is the wonderful artwork that is on the cards. I play Hearthstone very casually, and tend to forget when I’ve received a free pack of Hearthstone cards.
