World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Beta

I was fortunate enough to have been invited to the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Alpha. Shortly before the Alpha ended, I got an email with the lovely image that I put at the top of this blog.  My best guess is that everyone who participated in the Alpha was automatically included in the Beta.

In this blog, I have screenshots, Twitch videos, and commentary about my thoughts and experiences in the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Beta.  I’ve no idea how long the Beta will last, so I will try and make the most of it.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Alpha

I was fortunate enough to get into the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Alpha. After thinking about it, I decided to roll a Void Elf and make her a Warlock. The Void Elf is one of the Allied Races.

The best thing about Alphas is the amusing “bugs” that players can find.  The goal is to find and report all the bugs so they don’t make it into the final version of the game.

The Dwarves Enjoy Winter Veil

The Dwarves are Hansbrix the Hunter (and his pet bear, Fridge) and Bradanna the Priest.  My husband and I have been playing these two characters together and working our way through Azeroth, zone by zone.

Once in a while, The Dwarves take a moment to enjoy some of the World Events that are happening.  This year, we only had a limited amount of time to check out Winter Veil. The screenshots you see in the blog were taken on December 25, 2016.

The Dwarves Enjoy Hallow’s End

The Dwarves are Hansbrix the Hunter (and his pet bear, Fridge) and Bradanna the Priest. My husband and I have been playing these two characters together and working our way through Azeroth, zone by zone.

In addition, The Dwarves dabble in the World Events that happen at certain times of the year. They had a little bit of time to do some trick-or-treating in Azeroth.

Legion Beta – Demon Hunter Starting Zone

I was fortunate enough to have gotten into the World of Warcraft Legion Beta.  I immediately rolled a Night Elf Demon Hunter so I could see what the new class was like.  It didn’t take long for me to see that it is a really fun class to play.

I’d been holding off on posting my screenshots from my experience in the Legion Beta (just in case some of them turned out to be “spoilers”.)  The Legion expansion was released on August 30, 2016.  About a month has passed since then.  The screenshots I’m including in this blog are from the Demon Hunter starting zone.

Pre-Expansion Events, World of Warcraft 0 comments on It All Makes Sense Now

It All Makes Sense Now

“It All Makes Sense Now” is a Feat of Strength Achievement that players could earn during the pre-launch events for the World of Warcraft: Legion expansion.  Players had to gather specific pamphlets from the Doomsayers that were scattered through either Stormwind or Orgrimmar.

The individual pamphlets were distributed randomly, and there was a fifteen minute cooldown between when a player could get one pamphlet and when the Doomsayers would give him or her another one.  The best way to earn this Achievement was to just keep trying.

Riglee Tries Winter Veil

Riglee is my Gnome Death Knight. She is level 72. Winter Veil is not my favorite World Event (because Christmas is problematic for me). Despite this, I decided to see what Riglee could accomplish during the 2015 Winter Veil.

Overall, my attempt at working on Winter Veil Achievements was a mix of success and failure.  It turned out that Riglee is not a high enough level to do everything.  There were, however, some fun things that she was able to complete.

Inflatable Thunderfury

Blizzard celebrated the 11th Anniversary of World of Warcraft from November 16 through November 30, 2015. Players who logged in during that time received several collectible gifts.

I haven’t taken the time to play around with all of them, but immediately equipped the Inflatable Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker. I managed to get it on all of my characters, except my Pandaren (because I couldn’t find a mailbox near him.)  The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on November 16, 2015.

Ghosts in the Dark Achievement

The Ghosts in the Dark Achievement has been in-game since 2010. Shawn and I didn’t discover it until 2015. The interesting thing about this Achievement is that it involves a Demon Hunter – but is not part of the Legion expansion (which is in beta at the time I am writing this blog).

The Ghosts in the Dark Achievement is for Alliance characters, only. There is a separate one (called Joy Ride) for Horde characters. Shawn and I were playing two Dwarf characters together, so we did the Alliance version.

The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on August 20, 2015.

Riglee Goes Trick-Or-Treating

Hallow’s End is my favorite world event in World of Warcraft. It’s fun to go trick-or-treating and get turned into a skeleton (or other various costumes).

I cannot complete the entire event yet, because Riglee is only level 71. This year, Riglee went trick-or-treating around Azeroth in the hopes of finishing off as much as she could of the Hallow’s End stuff.
