I wrote this piece on April 8, 2017, on a Tumblr blog that no longer exists. It is a summary, of sorts, of my emotions through the twists and turns of the 2016 election cycle.  I used to write about politics. But then, something happened that made me want to delete all my political posts.

In December of 2016, I wrote about a situation that made me feel very conflicted.  A person, whose creative works I enjoyed, had expressed political ideology that I consider to be hurtful in their most recent work.  I wasn’t sure what to do with that.
