TrialMan Challenge – Day 10

I have now, officially, completed the World of Warcraft TrialMan Challenge. It took much longer than 10 chronological days. The rules do not require that you complete the challenge in 10 days of “real time”.

Instead, it is acceptable to play the character you created for the challenge in the next 10 times that you play World of Warcraft. You can even switch out and play a different character (but that obviously won’t count toward the TrialMan Challenge).

I knew that it would take me longer than most people to finish the TrialMan Challenge. I’m a very casual player of WoW. Most of my gaming time is devoted to Diablo III. In order to finish the challenge, I had to find a way to make it work around my job obligations and my chronic illnesses. It is so nice to be done! Here is the final blog that focuses on Nazuga, my Orc Mage.

TrialMan Challenge – Day 9

I am nearly finished with the 10 day TrialMan Challenge! Obviously, I am taking much longer than 10 actual days to complete it. That’s ok, because the rules allow for that.

You can even play your other WoW characters while you do this challenge. Just keep track of the one that is involved in TrialMan. Here is the holiday flavored adventures of Nazuga, the Orc Mage, for Day 9 of TrialMan.

TrialMan Challenge – Day 8

At the end of Day 7, I left Nazuga, who had been transformed into a bat, hovering over a bed at the end of a long day. His adventure through the TrialMan Challenge continues with Day 8.

After a very long, and restful, sleep, Nazuga awoke. He was delighted to discover that he was still in the form of a bat. Something about being transformed made him feel as though he was a powerful Mage. Today was going to be a great day!

TrialMan Challenge – Day 7

Nazuga started off Day 7 of the TrialMan Challenge on top of a tower, feeling sorry for himself. He didn’t want to be recruited and was quite certain that today would be filled with death. Nazuga had grown quite tired of seeing the Spirit Healer.

There was no point in procrastinating. As a new recruit, Nazuga had been assigned to defend Far Watch. Specifically, he was supposed to go out and kill a whole lot of Razormane that were nearby. Reluctantly, he got up and started walking.

TrialMan Challenge – Day 6

Nazuga made it through Day 6 of the TrialMan Challenge quite some time ago. I didn’t have time to post it until today. My goal is to finish the last few days of the TrialMan Challenge as soon as possible. At the end of Day 5, Nazuga decided to spend the night in his very favorite Inn.

Let’s start off with his stats. He’s had 4 deaths, and is still well under the gold cap for the TrialMan Challenge.

TrialMan Challenge – Day 5

My little Orc Mage, Nazuga, just completed Day Five of the TrialMan Challenge. Halfway there! Day Five was a bit if a struggle, but was still interesting and fun. I figure it might have gone more smoothly if I wasn’t so very tired when I was playing WoW.

This time, I remembered to take a screenshot of both the stats and the time played right away.

TrialMan Challenge – Day 3

Despite my best efforts, I didn’t have a whole lot of time to give to Day 3 of the TrialMan Challenge. As they say: Work Work, zug zug. I figure that playing for a shorter amount of time than anticipated is better than not playing at all.

When I stopped on Day 2, I left Nazuga hanging out with the Trolls of Sen’Jin Village. He was at level 6.

TrialMan Challenge – Day 2

My brand new little Orc, Nazuga, started off Day 2 of the TrialMan Challenge at level 4. This time, I remembered to use the arrow keys to move him around (instead of clicking on the screen in front of him and wondering why he didn’t move).

However, I am still expecting his character sheet to pop up whenever I open his bag and am looking for it on the wrong side of the screen. More than a year of focusing on Diablo III has made its setup my “default mode”.

TrialMan Challenge – Day 1

It has been a very long time since I played World of Warcraft. Part of the reason has to do with the amount of hours I spend working. The result was I had a limited amount of time that I could devote to playing video games. The other reason is that ever since the beta of Diablo III came out I’ve been spending my time in Sanctuary instead of Azeroth.

There are so many things about Diablo III that make me want to log in, play, and go for “just one more level”. At the same time, I also missed playing WoW. Perhaps all I needed was a compelling enough reason to get back into it. That reason appeared in the form of the TrialMan Challenge.
