Flight Rising has created some interesting Theme Weeks for players to participate in.  I haven’t done all of them, but I try and contribute when I can.   The most recent one I’ve added to was called “Put a Bird on it!”

The instructions for this Theme Week said: “Show us your feathery, bird wearing, or wanna-be feathered/bird-like dragons!”  You could post a maximum of three.  I decided to go ahead and post them here, too.   All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

One of the cool things about Flight Rising is that it includes Familiars.  They are sort of like little pets that you can assign to any of the dragons in your Lair.  Click on each Familiar, once a day, to earn Treasure (and the occasional chest full of loot).  I’ve already earned both of the Achievements that are associated with obtaining a certain number of Familiars.

The Flight Rising Legacy Challenge is a 10 generation breeding challenge. The goal is to start with an ungened starter dragon and end up with an attractive triple gened dragon.

There are specific rules and limitations that you must follow while you are doing this challenge. For example, the mate of your Founder dragon must be from the same Dragon Flight. The Heir dragon (who becomes the next Founder) is always the first dragon hatched from a clutch of eggs. It makes the challenge more interesting. There are many different Achievements that can be earned in the Flight Rising game. Personally, I think that Achievements make video games more fun. Some of the ones in Flight Rising are earned by chance.  (For example, a dragon hatches from an egg that just so happened to have a certain “special” gene). Others can be earned from effort on the part of a player.  The In Tune With Runes Achievement is a bit of both.

Flight Rising is a game in which you get to control a Lair filled with Dragons. One of the things you can do with your dragons is to give them a “pet” called a Familiar. From a gameplay standpoint, Familiars are great because you can gain Treasure (and sometimes a chest full of loot) by clicking on them daily.

The Sunbeam Ursa Familiar was part of the 2014 Brightshine Jubilee in Flight Rising.  It is an annual event that happens at the end of June.  The Familiar for this year’s Brightshine Jubilee looks quite different from the Familiars that players could obtain during the previous Elemental Holidays.

They used to look like Sprites.  The Sunbeam Ursa Familiar is a change.  I wonder if the rest of the exclusive holiday Familiars will look like bears? All of the artwork in this post is a copyright of Flight Rising.

Flight Rising is a game where you manage a Lair that is filled with dragons.  It is also a game with an amusing sense of humor, and a penchant for celebrations.  The 1st Anniversary of the Flight Rising game happened on June 8, 2014.

Flight Rising includes a wide variety of Familiars. They are sort of like pets for your dragons.  Click on all of your Familiars every day to get Treasure. You also get a chest when each Familiar levels up.  The Citrine Cave Jewel is a Familiar that I got because it was hiding in a random chest.
