Disability Hearing

I had my disability hearing and am waiting to find out the results.  The hearing is the third part of the process – after you get denied, and appeal, and get denied again, and appeal that.

The worst part about the disability hearing is the uncertainty.  I got a letter, out of the blue, that told me when and where my hearing would be.  This, after so many months in a row of hearing nothing at all from the government.  Has it been an entire year, or more than that?  I thought they had forgotten about me.

Would the disability judge believe me – or would she assume I’m faking my symptoms?  I figure she’s already made her decision on my case and the hearing is just a formality.

Season Journey Chapter II (Season 8)

chapter-ii-completed-season-8I’ll be honest: I’ve been a slacker this Season.  It’s not because Season 8 wasn’t interesting, or because I’m getting tired of Diablo III.  Part of what is keeping me away from the game is that things have been very busy in real life lately.

The other thing keeping me from playing is my health.  If I’m not working – I’m sleeping.  Despite this, I managed to complete Chapter II of the Season Journey in Season 8.

Leveling the Jeweler

The main purpose of Covetous Shen, the Jeweler, is to help the player level up the jewels that they find while adventuring.  He can also remove jewels from a socket, which comes in handy.

Shen starts out at level 1.  Players can raise each crafter up to Level 12.

When I play in Adventure mode during a Season, I try and level up the Jeweler as fast as I can.  The downside of doing this so fast is that I miss out on the wonderful artwork that Blizzard created for each level of the Jeweler.  There are so many details to see!

Thanksgiving Week Disability Hearing

My first attempt at getting Disability benefits was denied.  I appealed that decision – and got denied again.  The last part of the process involves seeing a Disability Judge (who hopefully is in a good mood that day.).

My Disability hearing was scheduled a few days before Thanksgiving.  I was very anxious that the judge would deny my claim simply because she had to work during Thanksgiving week.  Writing haiku helps me cope with stress.

A Small Chance of Blindness

I was at my rheumatology appointment, letting my doctor know that things are starting to get a bit worse.  Or, more correctly, I let him know that symptoms that had gotten worse before my previous appointment had stayed the same (and had not improved).

My rheumatoid arthritis is in my hands and feet.  I work from home.  This means I don’t have to worry about how I’m going to walk to work, or safely drive, with aching feet.  My hands, however, are a different story.

I’m a writer.  I’ve been doing freelance writing for about six years now.  When my hands ache and hurt, and my finger joints swell up, it makes it impossible for me to write.  I’m no longer able to keep up with the work I’ve gotten (and hope to keep).

Leveling the Blacksmith

The main purpose of Haedrig Eamon, the Blacksmith, is to craft armor and weapons for the player.  He starts out at Level 1.  Players can raise each crafter up to Level 12.

When I play in Adventure mode during a Season, I try and level up the Blacksmith as fast as I can (and I think other players do, too).  Don’t forget to take a second to admire the artwork that changes each time you level up the Blacksmith.  There are so many details to see!

Season Journey Chapter I (Season 8)

finished-chapter-1-season-journey-season-8Season 8 started shortly before BlizzCon 2016.  I decided to play a Hardcore Barbarian, so I used Season Rebirth on my Barbarian that I named Zena.  I originally created her for …I think it was Season 5.

I’m moving very slowly through Season 8 because of a ton of real world stuff that is getting in my way.  So far, I managed to complete Chapter I of the Season Journey.

Candy Crush Saga: Crunchy Castle

Episode 16 of Candy Crush Saga is called Crunchy Castle.  It features a Vampire who has somehow caught a cold.  He looks absolutely pathetic.  Fortunately, the little girl steps in and helps him get over his cold… with a yellow candy.

Crunchy Castle is the Halloween level of Candy Crush Saga.  It has a vampire.  It has a purple and orange castle that resembles a haunted house.  It has a carved pumpkin siting next to the castle. I started playing through Episode 16 in the middle of October, and finished it a few days into November.  Perfect timing!

The Dwarves Enjoy Hallow’s End

The Dwarves are Hansbrix the Hunter (and his pet bear, Fridge) and Bradanna the Priest. My husband and I have been playing these two characters together and working our way through Azeroth, zone by zone.

In addition, The Dwarves dabble in the World Events that happen at certain times of the year. They had a little bit of time to do some trick-or-treating in Azeroth.

Pokémon GO: Halloween Event

Pokémon GO had a Halloween event that started on October 26, 2016, and lasted through November 1, 2016.   My husband and I celebrated Halloween by playing Pokémon GO.  It wasn’t until then that we realized we had been seeing some of the “spooky” Pokémon in the past few days, (before we learned that the event was taking place.)
