My Thoughts on Diablo Immortal and BlizzCon 2018

I was fortunate enough to attend BlizzCon 2018 in person, (thanks to help from a friend). It was my third BlizzCon, and I had so much fun hanging out with friends and talking with people in the Diablo community – some of whom I was meeting for the first time.

In this blog post, I wanted to share my thoughts about Diablo Immortal, how it was announced at BlizzCon, and the reaction of fans of the Diablo series of games. I’m well aware that this blog could easily attract people who are upset, disappointed, and/or still enraged by the whole situation. Be aware that comments on this blog are moderated.

Highlights from Season 14 (Season of Greed)

In Season 14, I tried something new. Instead of focusing on one character, I split my time on two characters. One was a hardcore Barbarian, which was playing as part of the Solo Self Found League. The other was a softcore Demon Hunter, which I was playing with groups.

Season Journey Chapter IV (Season 14)

In Season 14, I decided to play a Hardcore Barbarian as part of the Solo Self Found League. I did a Season Rebirth on Zena, a Barbarian that I’ve had for a very long time.

Unfortunately, she didn’t make it all the way through Chapter IV. So, this blog post shows what happened at what turned out to be the end of my Season 14.

Lady Morthanlu

This is Lady Morthanlu. I got her from a Menagerist Goblin during Season 11. The Menagerist Goblins are the only type of goblin that drop pets. Kill the Menagerist Goblin – and it will drop a random pet for you.

The flavor text for this pet says: “Lady Morthanlu is the picture of sophistication and charm. Only the most refined adventurer will bring her along!” – Barker Chan.

Season Journey Chapter III (Season 14)

I am playing a Hardcore Barbarian for Season 14. My goal is to see how far I can get through the Season Journey without dying. I am playing as part of the Solo Self Found League on my Hardcore character.

I’m also playing a Softcore Demon Hunter, and playing in groups with that one. With help, my Softcore Demon Hunter is currently at the point where she is working her way through Slayer. It was time for my Hardcore Barbarian to catch up.
