Today was Day 23 of the 2017 Fall pollen season. I am feeling very “stuck”. There is nothing I can do to feel better until the pollen count goes down to 6 or lower (and stays there for at least a week straight). I’m trying to move ahead and improve my health, but am being dragged backwards by forces beyond my control.

Resting
Today was Day 22 of the 2017 Fall pollen season. All I want to do is sleep, but I got up and finished some writing work anyway. This is not my cat. I found the photo on Pixabay and felt it was a good image to use to explain how exhausted I am right now. Pollen has a cumulative effect (at least, it does for me). So, the longer pollen season goes – the worse I feel.
At the Dentist
Today was Day 21 of the 2017 Fall pollen season. That means I’ve been sick for three weeks straight due to the excessive amount of pollen in the air. There is no way to know when a pollen season will end. Today, I had to go outside because I had a dentist appointment. The pollen count today was 8.9, which isn’t good for me.
At the Doctor
Today was Day 20 of the 2017 Fall pollen season. The pollen count wasn’t at 10 – but it was close enough! I had no choice but to go outside today because I had a doctor’s appointment. This appointment didn’t have anything to do with allergies.
Ten Again
Today was Day 19 of the Fall pollen season. The pollen count was 10 again. Yesterday was 11.1, and the day before was 10.5. I’ve been trying to get things done, but can’t do much. Sweeping a small part of the floor made me dizzy. I’m uncoordinated and almost fall over when I get up. My sinuses hurt so bad I can’t stand it.
The only good thing about today was that the heat wave appears to be going away. So, there’s that.

This Pollen Count Goes to 11
This pollen count goes up to 11…. and then goes higher and ends up at 11.1. Today was Day 18 of the 2017 Fall pollen season. It is the most painful day so far.

The Heat Wave Continues
Today is Day 17 of the 2017 Fall pollen season. The pollen count has passed ten. Tens are painful. My way of coping with this horribly high pollen count was to get a bunch of paid work done after the sun went down, and then go to sleep with the window AC on.
Heat Wave
Today is Day 16 of the 2017 Fall pollen season. We are having a heat wave. How hot was it? So hot that our cockatiels – which are tropical birds – needed a fan. Today was at least as humid today as it was yesterday, and the pollen count is higher than yesterday. I am miserable.
It is bad enough to be struggling through a pollen count of 9.7. I didn’t need the extra pain from the heat and humidity. One more day of swollen joints in my hands and feet.
It is too hot today for me to think clearly. My sinuses are on fire, and I’m going to have to take more allergy medication soon. And then, I will have even less ability to think clearly or do anything productive.
Lack of Mobility
Today is Day 15 of the 2017 Fall pollen season. Things started off okay, and went downhill rather quickly in the afternoon. I blame the heat and humidity as well as the pollen count (which was 9.3 today).
There was a point during the day when I thought I was about to pass out from the heat. Humidity causes my joints to swell up, and I’ve been in pain all day long. My eyes are not itching today, so I guess that makes today less awful than yesterday was.
The Smell of Grass
Today is Day 14 of the 2017 Fall pollen season, and I am in allergy hell. One of my eyes is extremely itchy, and the other is even worse. I’ve taken three different allergy medications and haven’t gotten any relief yet. This year’s Fall pollen season escalated quickly.
