Candy Crush Saga: Minty Meadow

Episode 5 of Candy Crush Saga is called Minty Meadow.  The path that connects the levels, and many of the levels themselves, are a green color.  I’m not sure if the color palette for this Episode was intentionally selected, or if it just randomly worked out that way.

This Episode features a unicorn that has somehow lost its horn.  Or, perhaps it never managed to grow one?  It’s kind of strange.

Flight Rising: Night of the Nocturne – 2016

Last year, Flight Rising did an event called Night of the Nocturne. It lasted from December 25, 2014, to January 4, 2015. This year, Night of the Nocturne returned. I’m not sure what day it started, but it ended on January 2, 2016.

Last year, I obtained two Nocturne dragons (one male and one female). I didn’t feel the need to put in an effort to obtain more this year. Instead, I ended up with some other cool stuff. All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Candy Crush Saga: Dreamworld Sleepy Slopes

A player must complete Episode 4 – Chocolate Mountains in Candy Crush Saga to unlock Dreamworld.  My best guess is that Dreamworld is some sort of expansion.

It is entirely possible to skip over Dreamworld and continue with the regular Episodes of Candy Crush Saga.  Or, players can take a detour and work on the Dreamworld part of the game.

Candy Crush Saga: Chocolate Mountains

Episode 4 of Candy Crush Saga is called Chocolate Mountains.  It features a Yeti that has fallen asleep.  The Yeti character can be found at the top of the Candy Crush Saga screen.  He is the icon to click on if you want to view the Yeti Shop.

The Yeti Shop, of course, is where players can use real-world money to purchase packages of Boosters that will help them to complete difficult levels.  In other words, Chocolate Mountains an advertisement for Candy Crush Saga’s shop.

Flight Rising: 10 Level 10 Dragons

Flight Rising is a game where players control a Lair full of dragons. One of the things you can do with your dragons is have them battle in the Coliseum. There are three Achievements players can earn after a certain number of dragons reaches Level 10.

I recently managed to get 10 of my dragons to level 10. I’ve also earned some other Battle Achievements along the way. All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Flight Rising: Sprite Familiars

Flight Rising has holiday events that take place every month. Most of the events are connected to a specific Dragon Flight. There is a brand new, collectible, holiday Familiar that can be easily obtained while the holiday is happening.

The Sprites were the holiday Familiars during the 2013-2014 cycle of holiday events. All of them have been retired. The only way to obtain the ones you do not have is to buy them from the Auction House.

I managed to collect five of the eleven Sprite Familiars while they were available. Someday, I’d like to collect up enough Treasure and/or Gems to purchase the ones I am missing. All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Candy Crush Saga: Lemonade Lake

The third Episode of Candy Crush Saga is called Lemonade Lake.  The side of the game board shows a lake that is bright yellow.  I understand that it is supposed to be lemonade, but that doesn’t make me like the look of it any better.

It is an unappealing color that, in the real world, would indicate that the water in the lake was contaminated.  My best guess is they picked “Lemonade Lake” for the alliteration.

Hearthstone: Curse of Naxxramas – Loatheb

Curse of Naxxramas was the first Hearthstone solo content expansion. I’m still working my way through it. When it was first released, players could unlock the different wings with either gold or real world currency. I chose gold.

The third boss in the Plague Quarter of Naxxramas is Loatheb. Before players can fight Loatheb, they have to beat the previous two bosses in the Plague Quarter: Noth the Plaguebringer and Heigan the Unclean.

It took me two tries to defeat Loatheb. The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on November 9, 2015.

Flight Rising: Granite Guardian

The Granite Guardian was the holiday Familiar for the 2015 Rockbreaker’s Ceremony. Each of the holiday festivals are connected to a particular Dragon Flight. The Rockbreaker’s Ceremony celebrates the Earth Flight.

The 2015 Rockbreaker’s Ceremony took place during the last week of November of 2015. If you didn’t obtain the Granite Guardian during the festival, your best chance to get one could be on the Auction House. All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Candy Crush Saga: Candy Factory

Episode 2 of Candy Crush Saga is called Candy Factory.  It appears to be the section of the game that shows the Candy Factory that produces all of the candy in the game.  Or, something like that.

The Candy Factory Episode also reminds me of the Candy Land board game from when I was a kid. One difference is that Candy Crush Saga has little boxes that indicate that a level introduces something special that can help players complete the level.
