Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp – Cool Scoop Scavenger Hunt

My Pocket Camp character is wearing a pirate captain's hat, a pirates tee and vest, and other items. At their feet is a cool scoops gyordite. It is patterned like an ice cream cone, and has two scoops of ice cream on top of it.

There is a pattern to the events on Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. It starts with planting flowers for prizes. Next is a Fishing Tourney (for more prizes). The last one is a scavenger hunt where the player collects gyordites and uses them to craft prizes.

Usually, there is a theme that runs through all three events. This time, that didn’t happen.

Neko Atsume: Honey Pot

An orange pot of honey is open. The lid is of to the side of the pot. There is a lot of yellow honey on top of the jar and coating some of the jar.

Neko Atsume is a game where players attempt to attract cats to their home/yard. The only way to do it is put out items that the cats might be interested in playing with. Some of the cats enjoy the Honey Pot.

Season 24: Khazra, Skeletons and Zombies

In this video, my Barbarian started out at level 50 and ended up at level 55. To do this, she completed some – but not all – of a set of Bounties. After that, it was a lot of Khazra, skeletons, and zombies.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp – Fishing Tourney Pirate Life

My Pocket Camp character holds up two smalltooth sand tigers.

There are three parts to an event in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. The first one involves planting flowers and capturing rare creatures. The second one is a Fishing Tourney. The third is a scavenger hunt.

Fishing Tourney Pirate Life started on July 11, 2020, and ended on July 19, 2020. It began shortly after Gulliver’s Port Resort ended. The screenshots in this blog post were taken in July of 2020.

U.S. Department of Education Discharges Student Loans

On August 19, 2021, the U.S. Department of Education announced that over 323,000 borrowers who have a total and permanent disability (TPD) will receive more than $5.8 billion in automatic student loan discharges due to a new regulation. The change will apply to borrowers who are identified through an existing data match with the Social Security Administration (SSA). It will begin with the September quarterly match with SSA.

Season 24: Skeletons and Zombies

In this video, my Barbarian hit level 50 and finished Chapter I of the Season Journey. She started with a Nephalem Rift on Expert difficulty. After that, just to make things more fun, she set out to fight as many skeletons and zombies as she could find.

Neko Atsume: Temari Ball

Neko Atsume is a game where the entire goal is to attract cats to your home/yard. The only way to do it is to put out items that the cats might be interested in playing with. Some cats enjoy the Temari Ball.

The flavor text on the Temari Ball says: Real Temari Balls are fine pieces of Japanese folk art fashioned from layers of fabric. This one’s made for cats.

Seekers Notes: Mysterious Friend Collection

A series of boxes with a unique item in each. The box at the end is grayed out.

Seekers Notes is a game where the player becomes the Seeker and must find hidden objects that the townspeople lost. The town of Darkwood is under a curse, and things go missing. Most quests in the game are “one-offs” that end when a player completes a collection.

The Mysterious Friend Collection is part of a series of quests that are part of the Performer’s Path event. This one takes place after the player finishes the Creative Environment Collection.

I had a lot of fun playing the Diablo II: Resurrected Open Beta. There has been a bit of a learning curve as I learn how to use an Xbox Series S controller and navigate the Xbox menus. The game itself, however, feels intuitive and I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to play the Open Beta.
