Diablo: Sword of Justice is a comic that is set in the Diablo universe. It was written by Aaron Williams, and the Lead Artist was Joseph LaCroix. It started out as a limited edition series of five comics that were released sometime in 2012.

If you missed out on those, don’t worry. They have been put together into a nice, glossy, paperback that includes each of the five comics, one right after the other. The story moves along quickly, with plenty of action, and a touch of the darkness and creepiness that fans of the Diablo games (and books) will enjoy.

ThirtySeven and Smashez Beat Diablo in Normal!

Success! Shawn and I achieved our goal of getting the characters that we rolled on Launch Night all the way through Normal difficulty before the one year anniversary of Diablo III (May 15, 2013). We actually managed to do it a couple of days before the anniversary.

Yeah, it took us a while. However, we were having fun and taking things at our own speed, as our schedules allowed. To us, it was super exciting to get those two characters through Normal before the anniversary of Diablo III. Here are some of the screenshots from the last part of Act IV that I thought were cool.

ThirtySeven and Smashez Stanzenfyr Somewhere in Act IV

As you may have seen from my previous Diablo III blog, my Demon Hunter, ThirtySeven, and Shawn’s Barbarian, Smashez Stanzenfyr, where working their way through Act IV of Normal mode. Our goal was to get the two characters that we rolled on Launch Night through all of Normal difficulty before the one year anniversary of Diablo III. When we started this part of their adventure, Smashez was at level 31, and ThirtySeven was at level 32.

However, once again, I’ve managed to get my screenshots out of order. I wanted to include the cool stuff from Act IV anyway, so here’s some stuff that is kind of in random order. (I have since figured out a way to keep stuff from getting scrambled).

Friends Helped Us Through Act III

One of the cool things about Diablo III is that you don’t have to play it all by yourself. I mean, you can if you want to. However, it is also perfectly acceptable to allow your friends to help you progress through the game. Always fun!

If you have been following along, then you know that our current goal is to get the two characters we rolled on Launch Night completely through Normal difficulty before May 15, 2013 (the anniversary of when Diablo III was released).

Here’s more of the adventures of my Demon Hunter, ThirtySeven, and Shawn’s Barbarian, Smashez Stanzenfyr. We were happy to have help from some friends. We started with ThirtySeven at level 31 and Smashez at level 30, and we left off slightly after the battle with Cydaea.

A Little Bit Closer to the End of Act III

My Demon Hunter, ThirtySeven, and Shawn’s Barbarian, Smashez Stanzenfyr, were “born” on Launch Night, May 15, 2012. It’s been nearly a year, and they have yet to make it to the end of Diablo III in Normal difficulty.

In a previous blog, I noted that ThirtySeven was at level 30, Smashez was at level 29, and they were about to go after the Sin Hearts. Here’s some of the more interesting parts of their adventure.

Working Our Way Through Act III of Normal

Diablo III was released on May 15, 2012. It’s been almost a year! My Demon Hunter, ThirtySeven, and Shawn’s Barbarian, Smashez Stanzenfyr, were created on Launch Night.

They are still in Normal difficulty! The goal now is to get these two characters to the end of Act IV of Normal mode before May 15, 2013. Both Smashez and ThirtySeven were at level 29, and were somewhere in Act III of Normal. Here are the more interesting parts of their adventure!

Smashez Stanzenfyr

Shawn and I had more than an hour to play Diablo III together this time! When we started, my Demon Hunter, ThirtySeven, was at level 29. Shawn’s Barbarian, Smashez, was at level 28. They were about to run through the Keep Depths.

During their adventure, it became clear that Smashez has a last name – Stanzenfyr. (Say that one out loud).  He just cannot stop himself from hitting the barrels that have an oil lantern sitting on them. Seconds later, Smashez is standing in fire.

Another Hour’s Worth of Progress

There are days when Shawn and I don’t have a whole lot of time to play Diablo III together, but still want to play. If you only have an hour – then an hour will have to do!

When we started, my Demon Hunter, ThirtySeven, and his Barbarian, Smashez, were in Act III of Normal difficulty. Each was at level 28. Not much progress happened in the hour that we played this time, but every little bit helps!
