Trick-Or-Treating Eastern Kingdoms

Just for fun, I decided to go trick-or-treating in Azeroth. It is part of the Hallow’s End World Event. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love to go do the in-game Halloween related stuff. This year, my goal was to get enough Tricky Treats to obtain the Hallowed Helm.

This blog focuses on the Candy Buckets that were located in the zones within the Eastern Kingdoms. The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on October 27, 2014 and October 28, 2014.

Warlords of Draenor Beta – Garrison Attack

This is my last blog in the short series I have been doing about the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor beta.  Sadly, my computer didn’t have enough space for all of Blizzard’s lovely stuff, so I ended up having to remove the beta.

I’ve been holding off on posting this blog because I suspect it might include “spoilers”.  I didn’t understand what I was doing at the time, but I believe that what occurred was what I’ve since heard referred to as a “Garrison Attack”.

Flight Rising: Level 10 Dragons!

I’ve been working my way through the Achievements in Flight Rising.  There is something about Achievements, in any game, that motivates me to try and earn them all.  (Or, at least all the ones that seem possible and/or fun for me to go after).

In Flight Rising, there are a total of 6 Achievements that you can earn by taking your dragons into the Coliseum and leveling them.  I recently earned two of those Achievements. All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Diablo III, Diablo Seasons 0 comments on Gurr’s Adventure through Act IV (Season 1)

Gurr’s Adventure through Act IV (Season 1)

This is part of the series of blogs I am putting together about my experience in Season 1 of Diablo III.  This particular blog focuses on Gurr the Barbarian’s adventure through Act IV of Story Mode (Normal difficulty).  It will show the Legendaries he found, the monsters he fought, and the Levels he gained.

An upcoming blog will focus on the Achievements Gurr the Barabrian got during this trip through Act IV.  My main goals for Season 1 were to hit Level 70 and to complete the entire content in Story Mode.  I also wanted to get as many achievements as possible.  The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on September 6, 2014.

Act III with “Cheese” (Season 1)

This blog is part of the series I’ve been putting together about my progress through Season 1 of Diablo III.  My main goals were: to hit Level 70, to get through all of the story content, and to get as many achievements as possible.  As such, it seemed to me that the best way to organize these blogs was Act by Act.

The previous blogs showed the progress of Gurr the Barbarian as he went through Act III (on Normal difficultly) for the first time.  He kept moving forward, but took time out to go back to Act III and help out his buddy, Qiz the Monk.  (It is pronounced “Cheese”).  The screenshots you see in this blog were taken on September 20, 2014, and September 21, 2014.

Before and After, World of Warcraft 0 comments on Old and New Character Models

Old and New Character Models

The newest patch of World of Warcraft included lots of new stuff.  Many of the character models have been given an update.  This isn’t really “news”.  We’ve been hearing about this for a while now.  Everyone who cared to could easily view a preview of the new character models via YouTube and various blogs.  That being said, it still feels a bit strange to log in and see that your character looks a bit different now.

My Halloween Zynga Avatar

Once in a while, I spend a little time playing some games that were made by Zynga.  I don’t use Facebook, so I access the games by visiting the Zynga website.  There is a “virtual food” game called ChefVille that amuses me. I have a ton of food allergies so my real world food options are very limited.  Somehow, playing with digital food makes me happy.  I’ve no idea why.

Hearthstone: Opening the Collector’s Edition Packs

The Collector’s Edition of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls came with extra goodies. One of those special little extras was a card that held a total of three Hearthstone codes on it. At the time, I was super excited about Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, so I promptly forgot about the Hearthstone codes.

Recently, I remembered them. Each code is for one free pack of Hearthstone cards. I’ve heard that each pack could, potentially, contain a Legendary card. What did my card packs have in them?  I opened these card packs on October 4, 2014 and on October 6, 2014.

Flight Rising: Legacy Challenge – Seventh Generation

The Flight Rising Legacy Challenge is a 10 generation breeding challenge. You start out with an ungened starter dragon. Then, you find a mate for that dragon (following specific rules and limitations). Breed those two dragons. The idea is to end up with an attractive triple gened dragon by the end of the Challenge.

My dragons just produced the Seventh Generation. When I started this, I thought it would be a quick little project. That is not how things are turning out! All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Ten Years Ten Questions, World of Warcraft 0 comments on What Effect has Warcraft had on your Life Outside Gaming?

What Effect has Warcraft had on your Life Outside Gaming?

This blog is the final part of the series I am writing because I wanted to participate in the 10 Years: 10 Questions project.  I was able to answer seven of the ten questions before the deadline.  For me, that is really good! I decided that I wanted to complete the entire series anyway, just for fun.

The reason I’m glad I gave this a try is because it forced me to write about my thoughts and experiences in (or related to) World of Warcraft (WoW). I’ve dabbled in writing about WoW a little bit, but always felt as though my efforts were inadequate. This project gave me an excuse to give it another try.  The more you write about something, the better your writing about that topic becomes.

Question 10: What effect has Warcraft had on your life outside gaming?
