The Ominous Power of Paperwork

Paperwork, when requested/demanded from a government entity, is certain to cause stress. In this case, the paperwork was something that my husband had to fill out because he receives Social Security Disability benefits. This isn’t the first set of paperwork he’s had to fill out, and it won’t be the last of it.

The paperwork problem is making me hesitant to do the work required for my second attempt at getting Disability benefits. This, while I’m struggling through a horrible Fall pollen season and well aware of how disabled I’ve become.

Kitchen Scramble App: Dessert Oasis

Dessert Oasis is the seventh town in the Kitchen Scramble game. In this town, all of the customers want desserts. Most of the desserts include sugar, but there are also some options that have fresh fruit in them. Throughout the game, there has been an emphasis on choosing healthy foods.

Kitchen Scramble is a time-management game where players need to learn the recipes that each town requires, make those recipes, and serve them to the customers before they get angry and leave. It’s not easy. Some of the recipes in Dessert Oasis require the use of two or more appliances.

Flight Rising: Tertiary Gene Smirch

Flight Rising is a game where players control a Lair full of dragons. You can do many things with those dragons, including breed them, make them fight, and dress them in fancy outfits. It is also possible to change their genes.

I found a Tertiary Gene: Switch in a Strange Chest during the 2017 Night of the Nocturne Festival. I had never changed a dragon’s gene before, and was curious to see what this item would do.

All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

Kitchen Scramble App: Chowderville

Chowderville is the sixth town in the Kitchen Scramble game. The recipes a player must learn include several seafood recipes. The goal is to serve the food to the customers before they get really angry and leave. Kitchen Scramble is a time-management game. Most of the recipes require two or more ingredients.

Players have to figure out which customer to serve first. Previously, this calculation involved figuring out what appliances were currently not in use, and guessing about which customers were the most likely to get angry the fastest.

In Chowderville, players are introduced to an extremely short-tempered character who makes the game more difficult.

Varia: Poetry, Visions and Journeys – by Tom McNellis

Varia: Poetry, Visions and Journeys includes poems by Ramon Alone and other works. It has poetry, inspirational writing, short stories, and more.

The book provides a definition of the word Varia: miscellaneous items, especially a miscellany of literary works.”  I tend to like books that are a mixture of different kinds of writing and that do not fit neatly into a particular box or category.

Some of the poems in Varia were originally posted on the author’s Ramon Alone Twitter and Facebook accounts. I love when people use social media in creative ways like that. There was a time when I filled a Twitter account with haiku.

Diablo III, Diablo Pets 0 comments on Lady Morthanlu

Lady Morthanlu

This is Lady Morthanlu. I got her from a Menagerist Goblin during Season 11. The Menagerist Goblins are the only type of goblin that drop pets. Kill the Menagerist Goblin – and it will drop a random pet for you.

The flavor text for this pet says: “Lady Morthanlu is the picture of sophistication and charm. Only the most refined adventurer will bring her along!” – Barker Chan.

Neko Atsume: Tiramisu Cube

Neko Atsume has plenty of cube shaped beds for cats to use. This one is the Tiramisu Cube. This item does not attract any of the rare cats. Many of the other Neko Atsume cats will use it.

The Tiramisu Cube flavor text says: “Indulge your cats lounging instincts with this decadent tiramisu-themed hammock cube.” It costs 28 gold fish in the Neko Atsume store.

Kitchen Scramble App: Molassessippi

Molassessippi is the fifth town in the Kitchen Scramble game. It is a time-management game where players need to make recipes and serve food to customers. Ideally, you are able to get the food to them before they get too grumpy and go away.

I have a ton of food allergies, and it amuses me to play around with virtual food. In Molassessippi, players learn how to make recipes like Barbecue Chicken and Sweet Potato pie.
