Diablo Game Play, Diablo III 1 comment on Whimsydale

Whimsydale

Whimsydale is the most colorful place in all of Diablo III. It’s got rainbows, and happy clouds. You can find at least one diabolic-yet-cute piñata in there somewhere. There are pastel colored ponies and teddy bears that…. want to kill you.

When I first heard about Whimsydale, I thought it was the dumbest thing ever. How could something so, well, whimsical be part of Diablo III?  The whole idea felt wrong to me. Later, after visiting Whimsydale, I changed my opinion. I now find it to be very amusing.

Fall Pollen Season 2017, Out of Spoons 0 comments on Heat Wave

Heat Wave

Today is Day 16 of the 2017 Fall pollen season.  We are having a heat wave.  How hot was it?  So hot that our cockatiels – which are tropical birds – needed a fan.  Today was at least as humid today as it was yesterday, and the pollen count is higher than yesterday.  I am miserable.

It is bad enough to be struggling through a pollen count of 9.7.  I didn’t need the extra pain from the heat and humidity.  One more day of swollen joints in my hands and feet.

It is too hot today for me to think clearly.  My sinuses are on fire, and I’m going to have to take more allergy medication soon.  And then, I will have even less ability to think clearly or do anything productive.

Season Journey Chapter II (Season 11)

I’m still moving slowly through Season 11.  For some reason, the gap between hitting Level 50, and hitting Level 70, takes longer than I’d like it to.

Part of the problem is that I’ve been waiting to play Diablo III until after my paid writing work is completed.  I end up playing while tired, and since my Monk is hardcore, I feel the need to be very careful so Qiwoot will stay alive for as long as possible.

Lack of Mobility

Today is Day 15 of the 2017 Fall pollen season.  Things started off okay, and went downhill rather quickly in the afternoon. I blame the heat and humidity as well as the pollen count (which was 9.3 today).

There was a point during the day when I thought I was about to pass out from the heat. Humidity causes my joints to swell up, and I’ve been in pain all day long. My eyes are not itching today, so I guess that makes today less awful than yesterday was.

Taking the Bus

Today was Day 12 of the 2017 Fall pollen season. I woke up shortly before my alarm went off because I was in pain. Pollen overload can cause me to have severe eye pain that is so bad it wakes me out of a sound sleep.

Days that begin with me feeling around for the medication I take to reduce the pain are horrible. The pain eventually subsides, but I’m never quite “right” after that. Pain is draining.

Out of Energy

Today was Day 10 of the 2017 Fall pollen season. I am in a lot of pain, but I was expecting that, and somewhat prepared to cope with it. Between the 10 days of too much pollen, and all the cleaning I’ve been doing, I had hit my limit. I was completely out of energy.

There were some good things that happened today. When I’m struggling, I try and find something positive to focus on.
