Plaza De Fiesta is one of the “extra” towns in Kitchen Scramble. Players don’t have to do them in order to make progress through the game. They can sometimes be fun to try, though. Plaza De Fiesta translates to “Party Square”.

Chef Crisp: Play Plaza De Fiesta for a limited time only! Earn special rewards, such as star tokens, power ups or boosts, and premium ingredients, by passing each Fiesta Gate. If you pass the final gate, you’ll earn exciting powerups and boosters!

Chef Crisp: Time is running out…….Once Plaza De Fiesta expires, you can no longer earn the rewards.

For some reason, whomever wrote the script for the game’s characters really likes to use extra punctuation.

Chef Crisp: Plaza De Fiesta requires Pinatas, not Supplies, to play each level.

Chef Crisp: Friends can give you Pinatas as a gift, or you can purchase Pinatas from the store. Your Pinatas supply will also replenish itself, but not as quickly as your Supplies do.

Part of what Chef Crisp said is a lie. Players can no longer give friends anything as gifts.

Chef Crisp: Once Plaza De Fiesta expires, your Pinatas will be gone, so try to use it all up!

A young woman in a white apron looks at a woman who is wearing fancy clothing.

Fashionista: Hello Pepper! I was wondering when you would reach.

I think something got lost in translation here. Most people who speak English as a first language would not use the word reach in that sentence. It would be correct to say, “I was wondering when you would arrive.” Or to say, “I was wondering when you would get here.”

A young woman wearing an apron asks a women in fancy clothing how the fiesta is going.

Pepper: Hi! How is the fiesta going?

A woman in fancy clothing tells a young woman who is wearing an apron that the fiesta is going to be great

Fashionista: It’s going good and now that you are here it’s going to be great.

A young woman wearing an apron tells a woman in fancy clothing that she wants to fire up the stoves.

Pepper: Wonderful! let’s fire up these stoves and get the fiesta going.

The top of this screenshot says New Appliance! A small bread item is in a box. It says Required over the box. The text says Pupusa. It also says Pupusa for every recipes!

New Appliance! Pupusa. Pupusa for every recipes!

This screenshot is a linguistic nightmare! A pupusa is a thick griddle cake or flatbread from El Salvador and Honduras. It is made out of cornmeal and rice flour, similar to the Venezuelan and Colombian arepa. A pupusa is a food – not an appliance.

“Pupusa for every recipes!” That sentence is a mess. It should say “Pupusa for all recipes!” But, even that would not be true. The pupusa is not part of all of the recipes in Plaza De Fiesta.

I got two stars in Level 2 of Plaza De Fiesta.

Players need to earn a total of 10 stars in the first half of Plaza De Fiesta in order to pass through the first Token Gate. Doing so gives the player some Token Gate Rewards.

I got two stars in Level 9 of Plaza De Fiesta.

The final level in the second half of Plaza De Fiesta is Level 10. It is incredibly difficult. Players cannot complete this level unless they serve five Cheesy Bean Quesadillas to customers.

The problem is that the game rarely gives the player five customers who want to order that dish. Players can only give customers the recipe that they ask for in Plaza de Fiesta. I lost track of how many times I had to re-do it before I was able to complete it.

A young woman wears a messy apron. She stands next to a sign that shows one star. Above her head is a small box that shows a Cheesy Bean Burrito next to a box that says five slash five.

After failing over and over, I finally was given five customers who wanted Cheesy Bean Quesadillas. This effort resulted on one star in Level 10 of Plaza De Fiesta.

There was more to do. I had collected a total of seven stars in the second half of Plaza De Fiesta. I cannot cross the last Token Gate without having a total of ten stars. There is a way to use Kitchen Cash to purchase additional Tokens. I had four Kitchen Cash. The game wanted five. I was running out of time.

A young woman in an apron talks to a women in fancy clothing.

Pepper: Wow! what a weekend? I’m completely partied out.

Fashionista: Phew! Tell me about it. Who knew having fun could be so exhausting?

A woman in an apron talks with a woman in fancy clothing.

Pepper: Hope this didn’t put off for next year.

That sentence doesn’t make much sense. It should say something like, “I hope this didn’t put you off from coming back next year.”

I was playing through Plaza De Fiesta during the pandemic, when my state was about to start opening up again. The phrase “put off for next year” hits kind of hard when I thought about all the concerts, sports, conventions, and travel that the world has missed out on during the pandemic.

Fashionista: Are you kidding? I wouldn’t miss it for anything. See you next year.

A sign says Plaza De Fiesta. There are buildings in the background. there is a road with circles that are the parts a player can play through.

This was as far as I could get with Plaza De Fiesta before the time ran out. I was not able to earn three more stars, and I lacked the resources to unlock the Token Gate at the end. The game gave me the little story part that appears after a player completes Level 10, so I figure that’s good enough for me. All I missed out on was some rewards.
