Flight Rising is a game where you manage a Lair filled with dragons.  I’ve been working on earning the breeding achievements.  My second attempt to earn the Circuit Breaker Achievement has resulted in yet another fail!

This means I will have to try once more.   All of the artwork in this post is copyright of Flight Rising.

I’m quite frustrated that my dragons did not produce a baby that had the Circuit gene – again! The pair I put together this time had potential.  The preview of what their dragon babies would look like was quite promising.  Very pretty dragons!  I have now run completely out of Lair space (because I bought another dragon after seeing the results of this batch).

Voltt is a male Tundra.
Primary: Obsidian Basic
Secondary: Splash Basic
Tertiary: Coral Basic

Hewlett is a female Guardian.
Primary: Tomato Basic
Secondary: Purple Basic
Tertiary: Splash Circuit

They produced three very pretty babies.  Not a one had the Circuit gene!

Here is a closer look at each baby and their genes.

This cute little dragon reminded me of cotton candy.  I decided to name her FairyFloss (because it means the same but sounds better.)  I will be keeping this dragon.

FairyFloss is a female Guardian.
Primary: Rose Basic
Secondary: Blue Basic
Tertiary: Navy Basic

UPDATE: Here is what FairyFloss looks like all grown up:

Unnamed is a female Guardian.
Primary: Maroon Basic
Secondary: Storm Basic
Teritary: Shadow Basic

I decided to put this baby into the Auction House.  I will update the blog to note what her fate was.

UPDATE: The unnamed female Guardian sold, and was exalted to the Shadowbinder.

Unnamed is a female Tundra.
Primary: Platinum Basic
Secondary: Violet Basic
Tertiary: Rose Basic

What will this dragon look like all grown up?  I’m tempted to keep her long enough to find out.  At the very least, I will give myself another day to decide whether or not to put her on the Auction House.  To keep, or not to keep?

UPDATE: I decided to keep this dragon.  I named her Lavender.  Here is what she looks like all grown up:

SECOND UPDATE:  I have decided to exalt Lavender.  One reason was to clear up some Lair space so I could try the Flight Rising Legacy Challenge (which involves breeding lots of dragons).  The other reason was because I am trying to get out of the habit of being a “digital hoarder” and keeping every single dragon that ends up in my Lair.

Lavender got exalted to the Shadowbinder.

This was my second attempt at trying to get my dragons to produce a baby with the Circuit gene. It seems to be a really difficult gene to pass on.  My best guess is that I can pair Hewlett up with every male dragon in the Lair and it won’t change anything.  My solution to this problem was to purchase a male Guardian dragon that also had the Circuit gene.

Tron is a male Guardian.
Primary: Obsidian Basic
Secondary: Black Basic
Teritary: Aqua Circuit

My hope is that if Hewlett has a tertiary Circuit gene, and Tron also has a tertiary Circuit gene, that they cannot help but produce at least one baby that has the Circuit gene.  At this point, I’m not the slightest bit concerned about what colors that baby will have.  All I want is to finally earn the Circuit Achievement!

Tron cannot breed for 14 days.  Hewlett cannot breed for 9 days.  I’m hoping to have some more Lair space by the time these two are ready to make lovely Circuit babies.
