Previously, my Demon Hunter, ThirtySeven, and Shawn’s Barbarian, Smashez, were still working their way through the Zoltun Kulle quest chain in Normal Mode. Each was at level 26. In this blog, you will see that they finally made some noticeable progress.

They started out in the Vault of the Assassin and ran into Scathach Soulshifter.  I couldn’t quite hit him from there. (I tried!)

Malifant Drekroot (This one, I could shoot!)

There stands Zoltun Kulle.

Leah tries to help Zoltun Kulle get his body back.

And…. he’s back!

Zoltun Kulle quickly learns that the Black Soulstone is flawed, and then proceeds to attack us. We ended up killing him rather quickly.

Goodbye, Zoltun Kulle!

Adria comes to pick up the Black Soulstone.

Ding! Level 27!

Off to fight Belial! (My least favorite boss of the game).  Leah kindly helps us out by getting the door for us.

Shawn got Life is Beautiful: Heal other players for 500,000 Life by picking up health globes in cooperative games.

Scaled Magus

Here we go! There stands Belial, in the form of The Last Emperor.

Thirty Seven and Smashez survived the giant snake people that Belial sent to kill us. Here’s Belial in his second form.

It took us 3 tries before we were able to kill off Belial in his final form. I don’t have any screenshots of the battle (’cause I was tryin’ not to die). I do, however, have a screenshot of what happens after you kill Belial. There floats his evil little soul.

There goes his evil little soul, into the Black Soulstone.

ThirtySeven and Smashez decided to take a break and convert some gems.

I got Custom Fit: Craft 100 items.

Finally! ThirtySeven and Smashez finished Act II of Normal Mode, and traveled to Act III. Here’s some nice screenshots from the cinematic (and the drawings that follow it).

By this point, my Demon Hunter, ThirtySeven, had hit level 27. (I believe that Shawn’s Barbarian, Smashez, had, too). We finally said goodbye to Zoltun Kulle, and managed to (eventually) kill off Belial. This isn’t where we stopped playing that night, but it is where I’m ending this very long blog.
