The Season Journey was first introduced into Diablo III during Season 4. It has returned for Season 5, but is not exactly the same.
Some of the objectives have been changed from one Season to the next.
To me, it felt like Chapter 3 was quick and easy to complete. Or, it felt that way compared to my experience with Chapter 3 in Season 4. Players must complete the Season Journey through Chapter 4 in order to receive a portrait frame, pet, and full set of armor.
I am posting the objectives from Chapter 3 of the Season Journey (for Season 5) in the order I completed them in. They are not in the order you would see them if you went from top to bottom of the objectives as they are listed. Players can complete (most of) the objectives in any order. A few require you to hit Level 70 first.
Show Me What You Workin’ With: Raise the Mystic to level 12. Level 11 enables the ability to enchant Rings and level 12 enables the ability to enchant Helms and Pants.
Change Clothes: Transmogrify an item at the Mystic.
The Rock: Craft a Gem of Imperial or greater quality at the Jeweler. Socketing an Emerald into your weapon increases your Critical Hit Damage and is a big damage boost.
Hey There Kadala: Spend Blood Shards at Kadala. Kadala has a 10% chance to give you a Legendary.
Forged Credentials: Raise the Blacksmith to level 12. You will need Death’s Breath, which can be found by killing Rare or Champion enemies level 61 or higher.
Run The Jewels: Raise the Jeweler to level 12. You will need Death’s Breath, which can be found by killing Rare or Champion enemies level 61 or higher.
Above & Beyond: Reach level 70. Elective Mode allows you to freely assign skills to any of the Hotbar slots. Access Elective Mode from the Gameplay Tab in the Options Menu.
Completing this objective gives a player their first two set pieces from Haedrig’s Gift.
The set you receive depends on which class you decided to play during Season 5. I was playing a Monk, so I received two pieces for the Monkey King’s Garb set: Sunwuko’s Crown (Head) and Sunwuko’s Paws (Hands).
A player who hits Level 70 also completes/unlocks other stuff.
Above & Beyond: Reach level 70.
This one is a Seasonal Achievement (and not part of the Season Journey).
Knees & Toes: Reach Level 70 in the Season.
The Knees & Toes Achievement unlocks two Item Transmogs. One is for boots and the other is for pants. They are part of a “Transmog set” that players can earn during specific seasons (2 pieces of Transmog per season – for a total of 6 pieces). If you reached Level 70 on any Seasonal Character during Seasons 1, Season 2, and Season 3, then you have already unlocked the “Transmog set”.
Haedrig’s Gift will appear in your in-game mailbox immediately after you hit Level 70 in Season 5. It looks like a bag with a green star on the front of it. Pull it out of the mail by claiming it to your inventory.
The Haedrig’s Gift bag will appear in your bag. Make sure you have enough space for it before you grab it out of the in-game mail. The description says: Items in the Haedrig’s Gift are determined by the class of the hero who opens the cache.
If you have more than one Seasonal character (during Season 5) then you get to pick which character opens Haedrig’s Gift and obtains the two corresponding class set pieces. (Note: You can only open this bag once – so choose wisely.)
The first two set pieces will be the Gloves and Helm (of whichever set matches the class of the character that opened Haedrig’s Gift).
Here are the stats for my Sunwuko’s Paws (Gloves) from Haedrig’s Gift.
Here are the stats for my Sunwuko’s Crown (Helm) from Haedrig’s Gift.
Watch Me Aranea-Neae: Kill Queen Araneae at Level 70 on Master difficulty or higher.
Penetrate & Defenestrate: Kill Urzael at level 70 on Master difficulty or higher.
Season Journey (Chapter III) COMPLETE!
Players that complete Chapter III of the Season Journey will see a shiny gold ribbon at the top of the objectives.
