Season 8 started shortly before BlizzCon 2016. I decided to play a Hardcore Barbarian, so I used Season Rebirth on my Barbarian that I named Zena. I originally created her for …I think it was Season 5.
I’m moving very slowly through Season 8 because of a ton of real world stuff that is getting in my way. So far, I managed to complete Chapter I of the Season Journey.
Season 8 has begun! This is what pops up the first time you log in after a new Season has started. It shows the Leaderboard & Conquests that are connected to Season 8. It also shows that players who reach Level 70 will unlock two transmogrify pieces (of what I think of as the “Transmog Set).
The rewards for Season 8 include a new Portrait Frame, some really odd looking wings, and a full set of armor. I’m playing a Barbarian, so I will end up with a full Immortal Kings set. (That’s assuming I complete the requirements that unlock the pieces, of course).
Here is Zena the Barbarian, after a Season Rebirth, ready to take on Season 8!
This is what Chapter I of the Season Journey for Season 8 looked like. There some things that say the same in Chapter I every season, and some things that change.
Begin Again: Complete a Nephalem Rift. Check the Nephalem Obelisk in town while in Adventure Mode to start a Nephalem Rift.
A New Start: Complete 5 Bounties. Open up the Waypoint Map in Adventure Mode to see what Bounties are available.
Under Siege: Kill the Siegebreaker Assault Beast.
A Life With Meaning: Raise the Blacksmith to level 10. Leveling up the Blacksmith unlocks access to higher level weapon and armor recipes.
Automatic: Kill Maghda.
Seasonal Socketing: Socket 5 gems into your gear.
Just A Hobby: Raise the Jeweler to level 10. Leveling up the Jeweler unlocks access to higher level gem recipes.
Watch Yourself: Raise the Mystic to level 10. Leveling up the Mystic enables her to enchant more item types and unlocks new Transmogrify looks.
Forged In Fire: Reach Level 50.
SEASON JOURNEY (CHAPTER I) COMPLETE!
