Late last night, or early this morning (depending on your perspective), Shawn and I had time to play some Diablo III together. I was playing my level 23 Demon Hunter, ThirtySeven, and Shawn was playing his level 23 Barbarian, Smashez. Our adventure took a very unexpected turn a little bit before midnight!
We are in Act II in Normal Mode. We found some interesting monsters to kill.
Gilgamesh Toothgrind
Somewhere around here, we both hit level 24.
Xalax Viletongue
Malice The Brute
Shaitan The Broodmother
After we killed this one, we noticed that there was a cave underneath him. The Cave of the Burrowing Horror has two levels, and lots and lots of loot. It was fun! Before accidentally finding this dungeon, I had no idea that it even existed.
Solazius Darkshade
I don’t remember what this was, but it died violently.
Then, the Earth started shaking. Right around midnight, a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit. It centered in King City, California. Shawn and I are in San Luis, Obispo, on the Central Coast, and we definitely felt this one! The house was shaking for around a minute, (which seemed longer at the time), and we could feel the Earth beneath us rolling.
ThirtySeven and Smashez, however, felt nothing, as they were a safe distance away, in Sanctuary. Here they stand, waiting for us to return so they can get back to the business of killing stuff and collecting gold and loot.
