In Season 14, I tried something new. Instead of focusing on one character, I split my time on two characters. One was a hardcore Barbarian, which was playing as part of the Solo Self Found League. The other was a softcore Demon Hunter, which I was playing with groups.
In this blog, I have gathered up the best of the screenshots I took while playing my softcore Demon Hunter.
I’ve already blogged about my hardcore Barbarian, who got through Chapter I, Chapter II, and Chapter III of the Season Journey. She died in a Greater Rift 20 while trying to complete Chapter IV.
Here’s a screenshot of the first group I joined in Season 14. I was just starting out, and it was nice to have a group to help me level up more quickly than I could on my own. I’ve spent most of my time playing Diablo III solo, and I’ve learned that being in a group is super fun.
My Demon Hunter was wearing a random collection of gear when she hit Level 38.
Here’s the group I did a Greater Rift 40 with.
I like to go get Kanai’s Cube as soon as possible. Going after it with a group is a lot quicker than doing it solo.
Touched by an Angel: Kill Izual at max level without crowd controlling enemies on Torment difficulty or higher.
Ghom Appetit: Kill Gnom at max level in under 30 seconds on Torment difficulty or higher.
I hit Paragon 111 at the same time I completed Chapter IV of the Season Journey.
Greater Rift 20 completed at 14:45.966
Players have to complete Level 20 solo in order to finish Chapter IV of the Season Journey.
Here’s the group I did a Greater Rift 65 with. We did it in 2:44.866!
Paragon 245
My second attempt at a Greater Rift 20 solo went better than the first run. Finished at 4:17.049!
Double Treasure Goblins!
Double Blood Thief Treasure Goblins!
Paragon 250
I completed the Slayer part of the Season Journey in Season 14 with my softcore Demon Hunter.
Greater Rift Level 35 solo completed at 8:07.716.
The farthest I got in the Season Journey in Season 14 was through Slayer. Looking back, I’m certain I could have gotten farther if I stuck with my softcore Demon Hunter, played in groups, and didn’t attempt to do the Solo Self Found League with my hardcore Barbarian.
The other problem was that the Fall 2018 Pollen Season started during Season 14, and it made me too sick to do much of anything. This has happened before in other Diablo III Seasons, and there isn’t much I can do about it.
Paragon 255
Greater Rift 40 solo Completed at 9:18.083.
The Season 14 Haedrig’s Gift for Demon Hunters was the Embodiment of the Marauder set. Players that equip the whole set get to have all of their pets active at the same time. It’s awesome!
Here is a better look at the Embodiment of the Marauder set.
Tome of the Set Dungeons, Page 56: …between the bridge and the crossing I found a demonic ballista. I continued toward the crossing, and there I saw a platform that looked down over lava. That is where the portal now abides. – Brother Aweebul.
The Set Dungeon of the Embodiment of the Marauder is located in Act III.
In Order to Marauder: Complete 1 Primary Objective and kill the initial amount of enemies in the Embodiment of the Marauder Set Dungeon.
I was able to complete this Set Dungeon on the first try. After several attempts to master it, I gave up. It was the day that Season 14 was going to end, and I was running out of time.
My softcore Demon Hunter ended Season 14 at Paragon 258.
